The Witch Within Chapter Five The Books Of Grasharlo

The First Book

"Right, Loc, we have been, over the course of the past month we have been locating the books of Grasharlo and we have narrowed it down to seven locations. Your mission is to simply retrieve them alright. No me no fuss,  got it." Ringer said.

"Sir, yes sir!" She replied saluting.

"What did I say?" He barked.

She repeated what he had said.

"Now, the place that we will send you to is a land in the south called Lesnote`. I have arranged for an air yot for you to get there. So, be ready in an hour! What did I say?" He barked. Loc repeated what he had said. "Good,  dismissed."

She nodded and left. She took a quick bath and quickly cleaned her now short hair, Lamia was right, she did suit short hair. She then put on her mission outfit made of unicorn hair and dragon dung, which looked like a stronger version of leather and silk, just thinner and lighter. She took a moment to look at herself in the mirror. She had noticed that the stands of her long fringe covered the black star in between her eyebrows. She looked at her womanly body, it would be forever frozen as a nineteen year old. She had not quite decided how she should feel about that.

She closed her eyes and her hair was soon dry. She shivered as she felt the cold on the back of her neck. She flicked her long fringe out of her eyes, it had become a habit recently. She knew that she could cut it or use a leather lace or something to plat it out of the way, but she could not be bothered. She then got her gear and was off.

When she was ready she arrived out and up on the roof, she looked at her poker watch that Morgan had given her.

Ha! It only took the quarters of an hour! She thought.

She, upon realising this was her first mission, suddenly felt nervous. She let out a deep breath as she tried to keep herself calm. She did not want to let her emotions get the better of her and mess the mission up. She also had to keep her excitement in check too. She focused on her breathing and kept it steady. She waited and waited but nobody showed. Suddenly she wondered if she was in the right place, but she knew that this was where she was surpassed to be. She checked her watch.

It's alright,  it's only been ten minutes.

She then looked up and saw the double doors open and Ringer and Morgan walled through. They smiled and they looked up to see a black slab. She felt a sigh of relief. This was the right place.

"Morgan? What're you doing here?" She asked.

She smiled.

"Thought I'd see you off." She said. "Now, be careful,  remember I won't be there to keep you safe,  so whatever happens remember your training."

She nodded.

"I will." She said.

Morgan opened her mouth as if she wanted to tell her something, but decided against it.

She then turned and then went into the air yott. Inside the floor was royal blue and coal black walls.

"What's this made of?" She asked.

"Myrithodight, it's the source of a great amount of income on the planet Morth." Said Ringer.

"Wait,  there are other planets? And they're inhabited too?" She exclaimed as her voice broke slightly.

"That is what I had just said." He said like he was talking to a child.

The corners of her month curled.

"I would like to see one of them one day. Although, sometime after the whole Grasharlo thing has long since passed." She said as she sat on the sofa. She quickly noticed that it was dragon dung.

Dragon dung, interesting.

She then looked at the table and as she stroked it she instantly knew that it was made of silver dragon scales. She smiled. It was so beautiful and it was so smooth to stroke and the different shades of silver made the table look deceptively bumpy.

She looked out of the window as the door closed. She enjoyed the moment of peace as long as it lasted. As she looked out of the window her thoughts turned to her sisters. She wondered what they were doing right now, what evil were they up to? Were they planning on doing something to male her wake up? If so, then what? Why have they taken so long? It had been over three years since she had last seen them, so what did they look like right now? Did they look like her? Or were their hair longer than hers before she had her hair cut? Did they build their bodies like her or were their figures different?

While she was lost in these thoughts she noticed that she had landed. She looked out and spotted that she was looking at another mouth of another cave.

"Why here?" She said out loud.

Oh yeah, Grasharlo once lived in this cave after she had killed her parents. It was said that when their bodies were found they had been killed in a sacrifice after being involved in many different experiments in their daughters' dark magic. She remembered with a shiver.

No, I think that I should stop thinking about that. Just focus on going in, getting that book and leaving. So without a word she put her thoughts into practice.

As she entered the cave her heart increased as she wondered what she was going to face in the cave. Just what enchantments did the dark Lady set in place to keep people from getting her book?

Well, I'll find out, like it or not, ready or not. She thought as she spotted a suit of armour with a mace in his hands. It had green steam rousing from the gaps. As she looked into the gaps, she saw that there was no man inside. She then shook her head as she went to go on but she saw that the arm fling out, blocking her from going on further. She looked at the suit of armour.

Oh, oh! She let out a long, deep breath as she realised that she had found out what was set to protect the book. How on Merth am I to get past that?

Well I'll have to strategize. And do it quickly.

Then the armour moved its head to her. Her first instinct was to run but she knew that she could not do that. She knew that she would have to fight this one. So she and through her training in her mind and she stepped back and then the arm dropped. She then went to roll and as the leg went to stop her she gripped the ankle and rose it above her head and then went and kicked the behind of the suit of amour this propelled it forward. She rolled back and then looked forward. It rose it's mace and then threw it down as she dodged out of the way she was able to thrust her leg out. She then pushed it against the wall and then thrust her body into the legs. He then collapsed and she flung her hand out and she released something hot from her hand and this set the armour on fire but she only made it worse.

She started to back away and she soon saw the book in the corner of her eye. Instantly she raced to the book and then she heard the clanging behind her. She then felt the heat before the mace in her arm. She flew sideways and then hit the wall. The pain flooded her mind and her head rang. It caused her to go into a moment of shock, but this was interrupted by another swing of the mace but this was to the head. She then rolled away from the armour, just to keep away from the mace. She then looked up and then spotted that the mace was about to hit her again but she jumped up and then jumped over the armour. She then took hold of the helmet and threw it as far away as she could.

She then jumped off the armour and as the armour raced off to get the helmet back, she raced to the book and the moment she touched it the suit of armour took hold of his helmet. She then ran to the suit of armour and kicked the gauntlet off before it could hurt her with the mace again. She then ran to the mouth and out of the cave she looked back and the air collapsed. She ran to the air yot and then it took off.

The Second Book

It was two days after the first mission when she was sent on the next part of the mission. She was in the office looking at Ringer.

"Are you tested up?" He asked.

"Yeah. I must admit that I hope that this one's easier. N-not that I'm complaining!" She admitted.

He let her words pass, though his eyes did tell her that he was mentally scrutinizing them.

"Anyway,  we will be sending you to Suze` located in the Jungle Plaines." He said. "Here she learnt a fair few things there and it was one of the many places that she could do whatever it was she wanted unchallenged. Here's your map, it will help you. However, as you will notice it is not that far off from the pyramid that you were held in when you spent your time with the Sunburners."

Loc nodded as she stroked the black star in between her eyebrows.

"Right." She said as she remembered the star that she gave birth to.

Mortyamikira...I wonder what damage you're doing? I hope not too much damage….

"So be ready in an hour alright?"

"Sir yes sir!" She said.

The whole hour played out like the first. She was soon on the air yot before she knew it. She looked at her map as her mind went over what she should expect when she got there. Would she have to fight another knight? Two knights? Three?

Oh, I hope not. She thought. I don't think that I could two of those things.

She then looked out of the window. The sky was turning a pale pink and then a pale purple,  like lavender.

Wait, how fast are we going? She wondered as the sky became a golden yellow. You know, on second thought, it doesn't matter.

She soon saw a pyramid that looked a lot like the one that she stayed in when she was with the Sunburners. The only difference was the fact that this one was hidden in the interwoven and overgrown trees and vines. She wondered how she was going to get in as she was slightly afraid that the wild overgrowth would block the entrance, or make the entrance impossible to find.

When they landed it was a good walk away. She then turned and went to the door. The first thing that hit her was the damp moist heat. As she walked out she started to sweat. The bamp atmosphere only made it worse. She suddenly felt glad that her hair was short, she knew that with the long hair would have only made it worse.

She looked up at the pyramid and she was surprised at how small it was compared to the Sunburners pyramid. She walked up to it and brushed her damp long out of her eyes. She jumped over a root as she saw snakes slithering around. She then felt something land on her neck. She hit it and looked at it and saw a dead bug that she had never seen before.

So, different places have different bugs and wildlife. Interesting. She thought as she heard the croak of toads and frogs and she could hear crickets. But I guess some things stay the same.

She soon saw the entrance, fortunately the entrance was clear. So she walked up and as she saw that there was nothing anywhere near the entrance she knew that there was something wrong. So she picked up a stone and she threw it at the entrance. The stone disintegrated before her very eyes!

Now how am I going to get in? She thought.

Just walk through.

She frowned as she wondered where that thought came from.

Just walk through.

She thought again.

No,  if I do then I'll disintegrate just like that stone!

Just walk through.

She huffed as she put her finger to the entrance. To her astonishment it did not disintegrate!

What? Why did I not...Must be because I'm one third of Grasharlo. She concluded.

She walked in and looked at the map. She noticed that there were three main levels and a fourth which was strictly a bedroom. She climbed the stairs deducing that if the book was anywhere it would be there. When she got there she noticed that the bed and everything was coated in dust and cobwebs.

How long ago since she was here? She wondered as she moved around the room. She saw a few books on the shelves, though she knew that none of them was the book that she was looking for, but she put them into her bag all the same. They may not be the book that she was looking for, but she had a gut feeling that they would come in handy later on. She then looked around the place and found nothing of value, however she knew that this place would be better off if Ringer cleared this place up.

She then walked out and then walked down to the top level. She explored the level and she then, after scouting the level,  saw a book guarded by a sphinx statue. She walked up to it and then the wings of the sphinx spread out stopped her from going on.

Oh no.

She looked at it as she felt her heart drop as she could tell that she was going to have to fight this thing.

How the Demon Realm am I going to be able to fight that thing?!

She then looked down to meet her eyes.

"Tell me child, I can sense the Dark Lady in you but the presence of another?" She asked.

"That is a long story."

"Alright. Then child why are you here?"

"I'm here for that book." She said as she pointed to the book.

She nodded.

"Alright, you can get it however you must answer my riddle first. This truth will prove that the Dark Lady lives within you.

"I have truthfully families two,

However the blood shines through,

The water tried,

And failed to hide,

This truth every single bit

This truth, what is it?" She said.

She frowned as she ran through the riddle a few times in her head a few times. She dissected every single line like a morgue operator dissects a corpse to find out how it died.

How does someone have two families, and what has blood and water have to do with this? And what is this truth? She then realised what she could be talking about. But that's...that's impossible! But yet it makes far too much sense!

"Grasharlo was not their daughter, she was adopted! Grasharlo was adopted!" She exclaimed.

The sphinx, for a moment,  was unmoving but she nodded.

"The answer is correct." She said as her wings tucked away. She took the book and then left the pyramid. She felt cold and she knew that she had a lot to think about as the revelation that Grasharlo was adopted made her think about a lot.

If her parents were not her parents, then who's daughter was she?

Well whoever her parents were they, judging by that line that that sphinx said, were anything but good.

The Third Book

"So, Grasharlo was adopted." Ringer said out loud as he let what she had said sink in.

Loc nodded feeling vulnerable and part of her felt lost as she, after her three years at the academe she thought that she knew the evil witch that she was a part of, however, it was all too clear that there was more to learn than she thought.

"Have you read any of the books?" He asked, breaking the silence.

"No, but I am curious as to what is in them." She said honestly. "Why, do you think that it will reveal her biological parents?"

"That is my thoughts, however I planned to order you to read those books anyway." He said. "And please, don't be disappointed if it ends up being an empty well."

Loc nodded.

"Even though you have got many good things from that pyramid, I think that you need to go and get your third book." He said.

Loc nodded.

"Alright." She said.

After all it will only be a matter of time until Gracey and Sharimon clock onto the fact that I'm collecting these books. She thought.

"So where will you be sending me?" She asked.

"Saha, an Empire in the Sand Planes." He said.

"Wait, is that the one where the flying carpet competitions are?!"

"Yes, however, for obvious reasons I had to contact Emperor Sulal Mohah. Which did not take kindly to this, especially since he's one of the many ones that hate Grasharlo the most. So I would advise you to be aware and careful. After all not everyone knows you as much as I do." He said.

Loc felt her heart sink slightly but she covered her hurt feeling as she nodded.

"Alright. Thank you." She said sullen as she left.

She took a bath and then got ready for her mission. For this, she put on a dark purple vest and trousers. She then went to the air yot. She looked out of the window as she wondered if it was a good idea whether or not it was good for her to do this one now. Then again, this part was inevitable, so it was a good idea to get out of the way, the sooner the better. She looked down in dread as she heard the angry mob shouting at her like a roaring lion, knowing that they were here for her.

Then it landed and before she got to her feet she already heard the throwing of things at the air yot. She then looked around knowing that she was walking to an angry mob. The lach fell and to her surprise there were guards there.

"Are you Lorra Cerberus?" Asked one.

"I am, but please, call me Loc." She said.

They nodded.

"Follow us." Said one.

"We've been tasked to guide and follow you to obtain the book and to protect you." Said the other.

"Thank you." She said.

"Get that witch out of here!" she heard someone shout followed by someone throwing something hard at her but was instantly caught by one of the guards.

"I think that you need to follow us." He said.

She nodded in gratitude. She followed them in silence as they led her to a domed structure. She spotted that there was a hole in the centre. She walked up to it and she descended into the abyss below. She was surprised that there was nothing to stop her. This told her that the obstacle lay ahead. Her body guards seemed to think so too as they, like her, instinctively pressed herself against the walls. One tapped the walls ahead so that they did not trip a trap.

They turned a corner to see an old rotten creature looking at them. It sat and looked at her like it was waiting for a long time for something. Something, Loc knew what when it stood up. It then ran at her like it was young. She dived out of the way as it pulled out a dagger and it would have hurt her if she had not moved out of the way. Then the dagger was drawn down and hit her hand. Then she felt oddly more pain than usual. She let out a scream as she felt something burning in her vanes. She then felt an odd heat on her stomach then felt as she removed the dagger.

Then it looked at her with wide eyes.

"I am sorry my master. I did not recognise you." It said.

She, for a moment, was confused but she soon pulled herself together.

"Shame, you should have known better. Now take me to my book!" She said, hoping that she had been convincing enough.

"Then come." It said as they were led them down a corridor and after passing several different doors, they came to a plain wooden door. There it walked in and she gave her the book. She reached out as she looked down to see that her hand was still wounded. She looked at it in shock, however she tried not to show it. She then took it with the other book. She was soon back in the air yot. However her wound still had not healed.

Am I mortal again? She thought. She took out her knife and struck another part of her body only for that wound to heal. No,  I'm still moral. But then, why is that other one not healing?

The Fourth Book

"So,  why is this not healing?" She asked.

"Probably because that wound is not a normal wound." He said.

She nodded.

"Will it-"

"No. However, I do have to say I am sorry for what happened in that last mission." He apologized.

Her lips pressed together for a moment.

"It's to be expected. After all, provided my history, it's understandable. I just hope that people in time see who I am rather than who I was." She admitted.

"Yes...yes!" He said as he realised what she was saying. "And speaking of which, we will be sending you a temple of the Sky Mountains. They are very far and high up so it will give you time to read something on the way there."

She nodded and got ready for the mission. She collected the first book and was soon in the air yot. She looked at it with a feeling of nausea. She gulped down the feeling.

Dear Hadistutt

I dedicate this book to you. I must admit that I always knew deep down in my core that those fools were not my real parents. They were far too weak and foolish. Their foolish kindness always sickend me and made me boil with rage. I never understood or connected with them, by the Demon Realm, I looked nothing like them! I hated them and had no love for those two puppets that raised me.

I feel content, however that I am crafting them to become the prophesied Mythos Puros. All of which I am dismayed to admit failed. After all, my adopted brothers and sisters all failed to become one, though they did developpe strange powers. Which was interesting which made me come to the conclusion that the potion did give powers but also that it will take a lot more to create one.

Which means that I will try to use others to conceive of one.

With that she closed the book. She had read enough, for now. She knew that if she read on she would throw up. She looked out of the window.

Why would she do that? How could she do that? They may not have been blood, but they were her parents!

"We are here!" Called the pilot.

She looked up and saw a thin woman that was slightly taller than an average adult and pointed ears. Her skin was a pale gray, almost white and her striking turquoise eyes were thin and narrow with long black eyelashes and black hair that reached the back of her knee caps.

"Are you alright?" She asked.

"Yeah,  just read something that made me feel sick." She said.

"Will you be alright to go on?" She asked.

"Yeah, I'll be alright." She said. "I think that the feeling will pass once I've got a good distraction."

She smiled as she got to her feet. She walked to the door. Then the pilot walked by her.

"I was ordered to stick by you." She said. "Ringer does not want a repeat of what happened the other day."

She nodded.

Then the door opened. Her eyes greeted a large temple that had high pillars and curved roofs made of emerald and held together by five marble longs with the tails pointing to the sky and the heads at each mouth open.

"That's beautiful!" She exclaimed.

"Yes. By the way do you know why all the segments have five walls?" She asked.

You're talkative.

"No, why?"

"Because here the number four means death. That's why the temples of death have four walls."

She nodded.

She walked out and she was suddenly hit with a strange feeling of nostalgia, like she had been here before. Yet she knew that she had never even been here in her life. Here was something about this place that seemed like home. Yet she wondered why.

"Tell me this was the place that Grasharlo felt like she could let go of her dark ways isn't it?" She asked.

"Yes, and yet this was also where the great hero Reho felt like he was at home. He thought of this as his home away from home." She said.

She then looked back at the temple until her eyes rested on a silver mirror that was built into the wall. It had an intricately carved and detailed crystal white lily pattern with a thorny rosebush behind it.

She was drawn to it and she soon walked up to it. She looked at it.

"What kind of mirror is this?" She asked.

"I recognise you though you are not in your original body." Her reflection said.

She looked at it in a moment of shock.

Did my reflection just talk?!

"However, I must report that the Whiye Demon no longer has dominion over the realm of mirrors any more. Thus I must contact the new mistress of the mirror." She said.

Suddenly her reflection vanished then she suddenly heard singing.

"Could you translate this?" She asked.

"Sure, well it's just singing the same thing just in different elven tongs. So it's just, calling to the one, who faced the demons and won, as the destiny is sung." She said.

"So what type of elf are you?" She asked.

"Mixed. Grey on my mothers' side who was a child of a doomed lover. After all my grandmother loved my grandfather who was only using her to birth a child that was my mother and my father was an ice elf." She explained.

"What was her name?" She asked.

"Lene`, it means combination.  Which was why they named me Lenume`, which means second combination. Sir name Ucent." She said.

She nodded.

"Mistress Alex permits you to enter." She said.

She walked in and she entered a dark purple room, she saw a purple bed next to her and saw the book. She looked around afraid that there were traps around. She walked up to the book and picked it up. She then looked around and then found that there was no trap so she walked out and then back out of the mirror world.

"That was straight forward." She said as they went back to the air yot.

The Fifth Book

"Well, as simple as your last mission was, I have to now send you to find the next book and if this one is as simple as your last one then we will have all the books before we know it!" Ringer said. "Although I did hear the rumour that the White Demon was killed by someone but I never thought that they could be true! Then again demons seem to be being killed a lot recently…"

"And where am I going?" Loc asked to prevent him from going off target.

"The Silver Isles. It's a pretty cold place so I highly advise you to wrap up warm. Also, I have heard about your thoughts on the first pages of the first book."

She looked aside feeling slightly ashamed.

"Is-is that what Gracey and Sharimon are like now?" She asked her throat dry and her voice hollow.

He nodded.

"I'm sorry."

She nodded as she let a tear drop from her cheek as she felt the venom of guilt sink in as her heart sank. She started to feel dread mixed in there too.

"I wonder what they're doing right now…" she wondered little realising that she had just said it out loud.

"I can not say that I know. Though, I must say that as the Dream Hells are no more they won't be sending anyone else there. Which is a relief. So I think that they might be working to keep the Dark Master Lord in power." He said.

Her eyebrow raised at that.

"Really, that guy's losing his power?" She exclaimed.

"Yes, but I think you ought to get ready. You'll be expected to be getting on the air yot in an hour so don't be late."

She nodded and she raced to her room. She cleaned herself and put on some warm clothes. She put on a scarf that her bodyguard Morgan had knit for her. She was in the air yot within the hour. She flicked her fringe out of her eyes. Part of her hoped that the short hair would not get in the way of her mission as she knew the cold air would get to the back of her neck.

She opened the book just to take her mind off things as she knew that the shaking of the world around her was just too much to think about just now.

Dear Hadistutt

Even though I have yet to give up on making a Mythos Puros, I do have to tell you I am working on another project. I would like to call it the Soul Double. Where, if I take a part of my soul, like the will,  for instance, I can make it whole by having samples of the other parts, like the emotions and the mind, I can use them to catalise a regeneration of the other two parts that make up the soul. This creates a soul double.

This project, unlike that of the Mythos Puros, has been extremely useful and successful. Speaking of which, those fools that had raised me commited suicide last night. So I am afraid to report that I will have to find other people to play with and see if any of them would be able to become the parents of such an important being.

This also means that I have little use for these things that they have given birth to. So I will keep you posted.

Loc closed the book and closed her eyes, that did nothing to help. In fact it seemed to make her racing thoughts worse. At least she knew one thing, she knew that in her heart of hearts that Grasharlo got off far too easy. She also did not want to go back to become that, no, she wanted nothing to do with waking up her Grasharlo side. Yet there was something about that which occord to her, that her sisters would not have to wake her in order to become whole.

She, appearing calm,  walked to the lieu. She did her business and as she cleaned her hands she suddenly looked up feeling slightly afraid of her reflection. As if, somehow, her face would turn into that of Grasharlo, looking at her with her evil eyes and her evil sick twisted grin. Communicating the inevitability of her returning to her.

She felt cold as she thought back to those people.

No wonder those people hate me! Was I really capable of that? Was I really capable of such evil and cruelty? Why were we not killed before the War of the Witch? Never mind that, why's everyone protecting me anyway? I, by far, do not deserve this!

"We're here!" Shouted Lenume`.

"I-I'm coming!" She called as she opened the door and she saw Lenume` at the door. "Thank you."

"Are you alright?" She asked.

"Yeah…" she lied. "Let's get this over with."

Lenume` looked at her slightly concerned at the way that she was acting.

When the door opened Loc shivered as the cold hit her. It felt like over a thousand needles hit her but she knew, despite the pain, she would have to continue. She walked on and she soon came to a small hut. She saw that there was not a door to be seen. She could feel that there was a word that she had to say. She was hesitant at first as she knew that she would have to trust her instincts in order to get in.

"Zuratoh!" She said as a segment of the wall shone and then a door appeared. She then was about to enter but was stopped by Lenume`.

"How did you know that word?" She asked dangerously.

"My gut told me to say it. Why, what does it mean?" She asked.

"Well, it means roundabouts dark will win." She said as they walked in.

They came into a long stone hallway with black wood doors. She looked up and spotted that there was not a roof in sight. Then there was something off about the air, it was warm, but it had a taste of iron or blood in the air.

They walked down, their ears met nothing but an eerie silence. She soon spotted that they saw a blue wood door.

That's the one. Her gut told her. She opened the door and spotted that she saw the book ahead. They were about to go on until Lenume` fell down beside her. She looked to see a man with pale skin with cosmic blue hair and one crimson and one purple (crimson left and the purple right) dragon-like eye with black where the white should be. He had a thick scar going across the bridge of his nose and one going down the purple eye meeting on the right cheek in a slanted X. His lips were as black as coal and by the look of them, they were naturally that colour, but Loc knew that this was not a case of vitiligo.

"Hello intruder." He said.

She lowered herself to her fighting stance.

"And you are?"

He looked aside slightly.

"I do not have to tell you!" He jabbed back as he threw a punch at her. She caught it and kicked him in his jawline.

"I believe that you do."

He kicked down causing her to fall and he kneed her in the face. She flew back and she spun out of the way. She then pulled his leg forward and he flew back. She took this opportunity to pounce on him and pinned him down.

"Tell me your name!" She said.

"I do not have one! My creator never gave me one!" He snapped.

"And who is that?" She asked.

"Grasharlo!"

Her face dropped.

"And I do not know why, but there is something about you that reminds me of her!" He said.

She looked away.

"But she told me to keep that book safe and that is what I am going to do." He said.

"Then tell me do you know what happened to her?" She asked.

"Yes, and I do not believe it! She was too powerful! None could kill her." He cried.

"Well it is true, and even though I am one third of her I want nothing to do with her. So how about you let me get that book and come with me?" She offered.

"Why would I do that?"

"And I think I should give you a name." She said.

"Is this a trick?"

"No."

"Go on."

"Kuro Yuki Inevitable." She said.

He looked down and nodded.

"I like that. Yeah, I think that I will come with you." He said as she walked over to the book. She took it and then spotted that he was wearing a thin cotton robe and trousers. She took off hers and covered him with it.

"Here, wear this. It's cold out there." She said.

"Th-thank you!" He said as his eyes started tearing up.

"Don't mention it." She said as she picked Lenume` up and they made their way to the air yot. They had to wait until she woke up before they could take off. But not before she explained what happened to her.

The Sixth Book

Ringer stood in silence as he listened to what Loc was saying. He looked at Kuro as he nodded every now and again as she spoke. He then waited for a moment or two after she had finished before he walked to his desk.

"Tell me, what do you know about yourself Mr Inevitable?" He asked, there was a chilling tone to his voice.

Kuro went pale and there was a vulnerability that entered his eye.

"All I know is that I am a creation of Grasharlo and that Loc gave me a name. I also can see some things that are inevitable like that this part of my...mother is going to be a legend in many worlds." She said.

Ringer raised his eyebrows at that as he glanced at Loc.

"And would Loc reading the books contribute to this prophecy of yours?"

"Yes, it will help her as she would know what she is up against. However I can see that the other two will become whole, but they will not become whole in the traditional way and this will mean that they will never have the power that they used to when they were one. However this part of mother will become something different." He said.

He nodded.

How is that possible? Will I or my sisters have a soul regeneration? Or is he referring to something else? If so...then what?

While the room was silent and they were thinking about what he had just said, they all jumped when a series of bleeps. Ringer pressed the button.

"Sir, we have secured the location of the sixth book in Mebuke in Animega." Said the person on the other side of the transmission.

"Thank you. I will send Miss Cerberus to collect it immediately." He said.

He then looked at Loc and then Kuro.

Looks like you have your next mission. Now Loc, on your way read as much as you can of those books. Just don't push yourself. Kuro, you'll be coming with me. I think that you will need a psychological analysis. Depending on that depends on what happens next." He said.

Loc placed a comforting hand on him as she left to get ready for her mission. This flew by and she was in the air yot before she knew it. She flicked her long fringe out of her eyes. Then pushed down her dread as she opened the book. She gulped as she closed her eyes she let out a sigh as she calmed her nerves. When she knew that she was ready she opened her eyes and let her sight drop to the letters on the page.

Dear Hadistutt

I have left the bodies of my adopted parents and took some of their skin and blood and other organs. I put them all into my dragon potion pot made of dragon blood urine and dung. I also used the blood of all those creations that were my adopted siblings and I could see that it was brewing nicely. I then added the heart of this creature known as a shinigami from the land of Animega. I do believe that it is that lands' version of a Grim Reaper, or a god of death. I dropped it in just to see if I could make one. I then added the eye of the three fates, which I killed to get it. Then the main and blood of a blue unicorn. I then added my own blood too.

This was when a curious thing happened, the potion started to weave in on itself. It then slowly moulded itself into the shape of a baby! I know how odd that sounds but then the pot also crushed inwards and soon the fire was put out and a form dropped into the ashes below. I then heard the cry of a baby and then plucked the thing from the ashes.

When I looked at it, whatever it was, I knew instantly that the creature with raven hair and purple and red eyes like that of a dragon was mine. It was my very own creation, my very own son!

Wait, so that was how Kuro was created?! What in the name of the Demon Realm did I just read?

"We're here!" Lenume` called.

She snapped out of her thoughts and she looked out to see a temple made of white wood and the rooftops were shaped into golden fire. At the foot was a large man standing on the corpse of a hydra whose heads were in front of bowels of saki.

"Where are we?" She asked.

"The Kin Shiro temple. Monks live there." She said.

"It's beautiful!" She exclaimed.

"That's where mother and father met there." She said.

"Wait,  one of them was a monk?" She asked.

"No, but one was raised there." She sighed.

"Which?"

"Father."

"What was his name?" Sher asked.

"Disuke."

She nodded and she closed the book and then walked to the door. She walked out and looked back.

"You're not coming?" She asked.

"No!" She sighed. "They have no interest in the whole Grasharlo thing. So there is no reason to follow you in."

She nodded as she walked out. She saw another air yot there. She could tell that it was not here for a private tourist. Knowing this it was all too clear that they were here for the book. As she walked she could feel like she was being watched. She looked at the air yot and the black tinted windows. Part of her knew instantly that someone was on that air yot. It felt odd like a strange mixture of anxiety and peace. She knew that she had no reason to feel like this but she did.

She walked on and she saw an open entrance. She walked in and she saw a ditch with stairs without any banisters that were carved in the walls.

"Lorra Cerberus, I have been expecting you." Said a monk.

"And who are you?" She asked as she lowered herself into her fighting stance. He placed his hand out in front of him and gestured for her to pipe down.

"Please, I am not the one that you are to fight today. No, the one that you are to fight is down there. Take the left tunnel to the black shrine.that is where she is." He said.

She straightened up. She then walked down the stairs. She, after a great amount of time, reached the bottom. She followed the monks instructions and the first thing that she saw was the book in the hands of a woman. She was about to walk up to the book.

"So, it was you that have been collecting the books." Cane an all too familiar voice.

"Sharimon!" She exclaimed as her eyes met her double.

"It's Grasharlos' Will to you." She said as she came close. "And you, my missing peace are our emotion."

"No, I am Loc. I'm not like you nor ever will!" She snapped as she resisted the urge to run up to her and embrace her. She was not her sister anymore. She was Grasharlo.

"Come now, regardless of how much you deny it, you are me, we are one and the same. We both long to become one again. You may be asleep but I can see it in your eyes." She said as she came closer. "You will wake up sooner or later. You might as well do it now and get it over with."

"I would rather die!" She shouted as she ran to her and drew a blade.

Sharimon laughed as she flicked her hand away and she flew away from her.

"Fool."

She got up and then ran to her and as she flew she threw her blade at her. She looked at the blade and then moved out of the way. She then changed the direction of the blade to her. She got up and dived out of the way as the blade followed her. She, not wanting to let her find out about her immortality ran away from the blade as it came to her. She then ran to her and as she was flicked out of the way the blade dived to Sharimon.

She dived out of the way and Loc got to her feet and then ran to her and she was about to dive on her to knock her out, but then she felt a pressure on her neck. It built until it was choking her. She then kicked her and she fell on her. She dug her elbow into her throat but she felt her fist in her ribs and she felt a blast forced her away and spun away. She was about to get up but she felt a great pain in her hip. She looked down to see that there was a great gnash in her hip.

I hope that heals. She thought as she felt the itching as her wound started to heal.

"Well, well, well. I heard that you have some new tricks but this really is interesting." She said.

She glared at her. She got to her feet and ran up to her and then as she flicked her away she flicked some dirt into her eyes. She then hit her head and she then felt something dig into the back of her neck and she suddenly found that she could not move. She tried to get up but she just could not move.

She was helpless but to watch her walk up to her and she kneel in front of her. She felt her finger on her throat. She took the blade and then sliced her throat. She started to cough as she choked on her own blood. Then came the itching of the healing.

"Well that is interesting." She said. "Looks like we have to wake you up another way."

She got up and then walked up to the book and picked it up. She walked up to her and put it in her hand.

"Here, I think that it would be safe in your hands. I will not take you just yet, no, but we will and when we do, you will wake." She said as she placed a hand on her head. "Taking you now and the preparations will just take too long. So have a good dream deer other self."

She felt her eyes close and she was shaken awake by Lenume`.

"Are you alright?" She asked.

"N-no. Sharimon was here." She said.

"So that is why you're covered in blood." She said.

"Y-yes." she said. "I-I couldn't beat her. I just couldn't!"

"I know, it will take a lot more to defeat her." She said as she looked at the back of her neck and pulled her out. She then took the book and picked her up. She carried her to the air yot.

The Last Book

After Loc had mentally recovered and had written her report, she started to get ready for her last mission. She heard a knock on the door. She opened the door and saw, to her surprise, it was Morgan!

"What are you doing here?" She asked, surprised.

"Loc, there is something that I have to tell you...You know that you and your sisters hardly ever saw your family members on your mothers' side. Especially during the war of the witch and after." She said with an awkward feeling to her.

"Yeah…"

"Well, when T.O.O.T.R.O.E. enrolled you in the Forest Of Illusion and the academe, and when I became your bodyguard there was something that I wanted to tell you, but it was not appropriate. Then when you captured by the Sunburners-"

"Sorry Miss Mcay, but Ringer has ordered Miss Cerberus to his office." A man panted.

"Right!" She said as she nodded. She placed a hand on Morgan. "Sorry Miss Mcay you're going to have to tell me later."

She then made her way to his office and knocked on the door.

"Come in!"

She opened the door.

"Reporting for duty sir!" She said as she soluted.

She then spotted that he was wearing the same rings that he was when he rescued her.

"Good, be ready within the hour and bring the book that you are reading." He ordered.

"Yes sir. Sorry to ask, but why do you wear those rings?"

"Oh they are my war rings. They have the power to send a blast of light, named a fatal light. Although, it is solely up to the wearer if the light kills."

"And you're wearing them because?"

"Because I'll be coming with you."

"How come?"

"Because of that last mission when you were by far not ready to." He said.

"And why can't Morgan come?"

"Because she is far too emotionally involved in all of this. The reason is for Agent Mcay to discuss with you." He said.

So, that must be what she wanted to tell me. She thought.

"By the way how did Kuros' evaluation go?" She asked.

"Alright, but it has become all too clear that he is not human, though he looks human. In fact we don't even know what he is!"

"Neither did Grasharlo." She said. "And what about his mind?"

"Damaged but I think that, with the right help, he would be able to become mentally stable but he will never be able to be normal. He could very well be affected by that monster of a mother well throughout his life." He said.

Her heart ached by that but was grateful by his honesty.

"Thank you."

"Now, time for you to get ready." He said.

Loc nodded as she got ready. She got the book and then they were in front of the air yot. She then took her seat.

"So where are we going?"

"Herradith. It was where she stayed as she became to reach on to another level as a dark lady" he said.

She nodded as she looked down at the book.

Dear Hadistutt,

I hid my parental journal, like you asked me to. Now only you and my sisters and brothers will know my true leaniage, not even it will know. No I have not named it nor do I even know what it is! Not even my sisters and brothers know what it is. It has been keeping me awake and I did try killing it just to end it but I could not. So I am stuck with it.

Now I must get some sleep. The more sleep I get the better.

Loc sighed.

"What is it?" He asked.

She gave him the book for him to read.

"At least it isn't as disturbing as it usually is." She said.

"You mean that there are parts of this that are more disturbing than this?"

She nodded.

"No wonder you don't want to continue!"

"Yeah, and I don't know what's worse that someone actually did this or that I was able to once upon a time!" She admitted.

Seriously, was I really capable of that level of horror?

Yes, but am I still capable?

"Sir, Loc, we're about to land." Lenume` said.

"Thank you Agent Ucent." He said.

"Urm, Sir, I think that they were expecting us!"

Loc and Ringer raced to their feet and were beside her before their brains could process. There ahead of them were Sharimon and Gracy this time, smiling and they soon saw that their smiles widened as their eyes rested on both Ringer and Loc. Licking their lips they raised their arms in psync. Suddenly from their hands erupted a white light. Suddenly everything started to shake. The air yot started moving closer and closer to them.

"No, they were not just expecting us but they wanted us here!" Lenume` realised.  "This-this is a trap! We've got to get out of here!"

"No doing that would be useless!" Loc said.

Lenume` shook her head and turned the wheel left and pulled up, but that did nothing. They were being pulled to the two and there was nothing that they could do to stop it. Loc closed her eyes in dread as it dawned on her that they were here to make sure that she would wake up. She put her hand on Lenume` as she buried her panic.

"Lenume` stop, as I said it's useless." She said, her voice was hollow as she felt a cold nauseating feeling in the back of her throat. "Sir, do you have a plan?"

She looked at him in desperatio.

"Working on one, but I do not think that I would have the time." He admitted.

"What? Why not?"

"Because I know that they will give us time." He said and just to prove his point the air yot shook and then they seperated their hands and the place tour apart. They then fell and everything went black.

When Loc woke she spotted Lenume` and Ringer opposite her, she also noticed that they too were gaining consciousness. Loc let out a sigh of relief as she was glad that they were alive. Now the question was what now?

"Well, well, well fancy meeting you here Ringer!" Sharimon cooed. She placed a hand on his head. "Now, now, now, you should know me better than that. Although I must say, you have grown up nicely. Bet you broke a lot of hearts."

She then picked up a burning torch. Next thing she heard Ringer grunt in pain as he tried to resist from giving them the pleasure of hearing him scream. She tried to race to help him but she felt something rough bound her hands and feet. She tried to get free but she felt it scratch against her wrists. She soon felt a warm liquid coming from them. She knew what it was as she felt the pain that came with it.

"Well, well, well, look at who else is awake!" Gracy laughed as she came to her. Sharimon smiled and nodded. Gracy walked, slowly and calmly over to her. Loc tried to back away but the bounds around her ankles made that impossible. She soon was looking up at Gracy. She knelt down and took her up in an embrace. She could feel herself shaking and her heart ached, as she knew deep down, it longed for this.

"Are you ready to wake up yet?" She whispered in her ear. Her eyes watered up as she knew just how much her words cut into her heart even worse than a knife.

"I am not nor will I ever be Gracy. I am and will always be Loc. So are you ready to go back to sleep?"She spat. " Either that or die."

She felt chills as she started stroking her back and she pulled her in closer. She started to feel whatever fire that she had fade away. She could feel a part of her longing to wake. Longed to be whole with her sisters. She longed for things to return to much innocent times, before the War Of The Witch, when she and her sisters were happy and innocent minded. Those times when they had not even heard of Grasharlo!

"It will be okay, I was scared too, but you helped me and please, let me return that favour. Please dear sister."

Loc could feel herself welling up

How long have I longed to hear that word? How long have I wanted this? To be with my sisters...No, they're not my sisters. They're Grasharlo now.

"C-call me b-by my name." Loc said, failing to stop her voice from shaking.

"Loc, sister, this is inevitable." She said, mimicking the way that her mother would speak.

Loc bit her lip as she fought her tears as one fell.

"No, I decide what is inevitable. And-and-and…" she fought with all her might to override her longing for her to give in. What she was about to say, she knew would make all doors to her sisters close. She had to know that she would never go back to the way that things were. "I refuse to become like you!"

"Shame." She said as she turned her attention to Lenume`. She then smirked, Locs' eyes widened at the implications. She smiled wickedly at her as she realised that she had figured it out. Her eyes glowed in victory.

She walked over to her and started to stroke her cheek.

"If you do not let it happen, her fate will be worse than death." She said.

"Will you let them go?"

"Well that is up to you." Said Sharimon as she kissed her cheek.

She looked at her hurt. Gracy pulled Lenume` up and carried her over to Sharimon.

She looked at Ringer to say that she was sorry with her eyes, but her hope was found in the look that he gave her. He had a plan. He then looked at Lenume` giving her the get her out of here look. She looked aside as she knew that he knew that she understood. She saw that Lenume` was beginning to wake up. She looked at Ringer for answers. She nodded as if she had just received some orders. She closed her eyes and started muttering something under her breath.

"No!"

She hit her but she continued to mutter those indistinguishable words. Then Loc saw that the fire of the torch started to become brighter and brighter and the flame became bigger and bigger. The fire soon had consumed the wood. Sharimon threw the fire away and landed near Loc. However the fire grew higher and higher and as Loc tried to move it became larger. She spun out of tyge way as it rose higher than the lower sky islands and planets.

Loc looked up as Gracy looked at her and flung out her hand and then the next thing she knew was the blinding pain of half of her face burning. She screamed out in pain. Then came the blinding tourture as the itching of her healing started to flair up like a fire.

Then part of her felt a power build up inside her as Lenume` continued her chant. This power became higher and higher inside of her and she let it go and the fire flew at the two.

Soon she was out cold. When she woke she felt so exhausted that she could not move.  She looked to her left. Morgan was sleeping next to her. She looked down and saw that she had fallen asleep holding her hand as she saw that her cheeks were red and swollen.

Was she crying? Why was she crying? Why is she holding my hand like that?

When she also woke up she dived to her and hugged her so hard that she almost had cut off her air!

"Oh I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you, I should've been there for you!" She sobbed.

She felt her weak hand placed a hand on her only to see that there was a book in her hands.

"Where did?"

"Ringer doesn't know, but they just could not get that book out of your hands!" She said. "I don't know how much power Lenume` gave you, but everything went up in flames. They were able to get you out of there, but then they found that in your hand and you were out cold. Although, we don't know what happened to the other two." She said.

"Nothing's come up?"

"No."

"How long have I been out?"

"A month and a week."

She then looked at the book and opened it. Her eyes dropped to small writing.

If you wish whose seed I am,

Then find my key rings ten,

Five silver, five gold

Collect and combine them again.

She closed her eyes in dread and let out a long breath to relieve the stress.

"They are alive and they have given me a challenge."

"Then I think that I should get Ringer." She said as she came to the door.

"By the way, what am I to you?" She asked.

Her face darkened in pain.

"The last thing that I have of my sister." She said as she left.

She shook at that. She felt shock and that shock turned into excitement and that became happiness. She then just noticed that she was seeing out of one eye. She then felt strength return to her and she pulled her bandage off. She then saw a mirror next to her. She picked it up and spotted that her face was like it was, the black star was still there, but next to her eye she saw a crop of white hair under her dark brown hair.

The Sorrowful Rebel Chapter Nine Victory Of The Rebel

Escape  Loc was utterly broken. She had nothing, she was nothing, she meant nothing. All she was was a shell with nothing in her mind but ...
