The Which Within Chapter Four The Sunburners

 The Immortal Drink

Loc woke up. Her head was hurting. She knew that wherever she was she had to get away. Her mind was a confused blur and her ears were ringing. She was trying to remember things as her vision became clearer. She then pieced together what happened and she soon snapped awake.

She the looked around. She felt the bizarre feeling as her movements were exaggerated like there was a weight in the air. She had to wait for her limbs to get used to it. She could see that she was in a gold room and she was under gold duvet covers and pillows with stars on. She could see that there were suns on the wall.

She slid out of the bed and then walked to the window. She saw that the see was moving at a rapid pace. She then looked up and saw that the sky was yellow and the clouds were cream. She noticed that the window was large enough for her to jump out if she wanted to. She then was about to but as she saw how far she was high up she got the willies. She then pulled away.

“Now, now, now do care not to kill yourself.” came a man's voice.

She looked back to see a beautiful man with short yellow blond hair and golden eyes that looked like they were two mini suns. His skin was the shade of buttermilk. He had high cheekbones and, even-though his eyes carried kindness, there was a cruelty about them that you just could not ignore.

“Who are you?”

“Lord Leto Lux.” he said as he put down a jug of a thick light gold juice that she had never seen before.

“You do know that you won't get away with this? And that I will not do what you want to.” she said.

He chuckled a warm and yet cold laugh.

“Oh please! Do take care to stop the false hero act? After all I shall expect more from you Lorra Cerberus.” he said as he picked up the glass and handed it to her.

She looked at it.

“You need not fear. It will help you get over the jet lag.” he said.

“Thank you. And it's Loc,” she said coldly.

He chuckled.

“I am sorry.” he said.

“What will happen to me? I mean, apart from becoming a mother of suns.” she said.

I can't believe I said it like that! Man that sounded weird.

“Well, you shall become one of us sister.” he said as they landed.

She then took a sip.

“Please, drink that up fast.” he said.

She sighed.

Alright!

She gulped it down. She had noticed that it tasted like honey and roses. She then put it down.

“Come.” he said as he took her hand in his manly hand.

She pulled it back, but he then put his hand on her shoulder. She then pulled her by him and then her eyes greeted a cave covered with emerald green grass and leaves on blood red an purple trees that looked like vanes. She had never seen so much beauty.

He then gestured to the cave.

“Loc, may I say, welcome to the Cave Of Powers.” he declared.

She looked at it touched by the beauty, but she wiped the look off her face.

“I'm pretty sure that we're not here for the sight.” she said.

He chuckled, but she started to become more relaxed. There was something soothing about it, almost a lyrical tone that she did not notice earlier. She liked it, but she knew better than to show it. She knew that she could not allow herself to get attached to anything here. Not even the sight. She then looked to him.

“I'm guessing that you want me to go in?” she asked.

“Obviously.” he sang.

She rolled her eyes and walked into the mouth of the cave.

“Now, follow me.” he said.

He then put a hand on her shoulder. She then was led deeper she saw different chambers as she saw people drink from the pools in those chambers. She then wondered why she was here and what she was going to be forced to do. She then went over the name the Cave Of Powers. She then went over those people who drank from all those pools. Then it came to her.

What if each pool gives people different powers?! The very thought sent shock waves throughout her body as she realized that Leto wanted to give her a power.

Is this how they get those fire and heat based powers? She wondered.

“Here we are!” he declared.

“Where are we?”

“The Pool Of Immortality.” he said.

“What? Why are we-”

She was soon taken and then was pulled to the pool and she was forced to her knees.

“Well tell me do you want to be immortal?”

“No.”

“Why ever not?” she asked.

“Because my parents are dead and I want to see them again.” she said.

He smiled.

“Then I am afraid that you will never see them again.” he said as he nodded.

She was then forced under the water. She held her breath as was kept there. She did everything that she could to keep it held so that she would not gulp anything, just not one drop. She soon felt her lungs screamed at her, she knew that she was going to die if she did not take a breath. Then she felt a punch in her stomach. She tried to pull her out of the water but then she felt another punch in her stomach. She let out a restrained grunt. She then felt it again and then she the intense heat on her back, this caused her to scream out in pain and soon she felt it, just one gulp. Then she was pulled out.

She breathed in and out deeply and she also coughed as her lungs filled with oxygen and she felt the water coming out of her wind pipe. She soon felt a blade at her throat and she quickly felt a painful slash in her throat. She was coughing again and again and as she did she tasted the iron in her blood and then soon the blood stopped flowing and soon the last of her blood came out. She then raised her hand to her throat as it became slightly itchy and then she felt the wound heal beneath her fingers and sealed itself soon there was only a scar beneath her finger tips.

She looked up shocked.

He smiled.

“It's alright little sister. You have become immortal. Now we can do to you whatever we wish.”

“You-” (cough, cough) “mean I'm your prisoner!”

“Yes, and you are, and will act as one of us. Now, time for you to greet your new home.” he said as he pulled her up and she left the cave, her mortality dead.

Enter The Sunburn

Loc woke in the pod. She then remembered what had happened to her clearly and distinct in her mind like a picture that she did not like. She then spotted a glass of water in her view. She looked up to see that Leto was holding it with a sympathetic smile on his face.

“Here, you'll feel better afterwards.” he said.

She took it and took a sip, knowing that she would never have to fear that it was poisoned. Nor would that be a concern for her ever again. Her lip curled as she realised this. She just did not like the idea that she would not be able to die. She then remembered her her dead parents and her new friends. She would be forced to see them all die when their time and she was now robbed the chance of ever seeing them again. She was cut off from them and there was nothing that she could do about it.

“What happened?” she asked, trying not to let her emotions choke her.

He sat on a chair beside her.

“Well, it seemed to be overwhelmed by all of what happened and you fainted.” he said.

She when remembered that the moment that she sat on the bench she felt the dizziness and passing out. She then drank more water as to keep herself calm and steady.

“So tell me, how does it feel to be immortal?” he asked.

“I hate it. After all I will never see my parents ever again. I will always be cut off from those that I love that die. So how dare you take that away from me?” she shouted.

He raised his hands to her and gestured for her to calm down.

“It's alright.”

“No it isn't and you know it!”

“Look, I know that it will be hard on you but you will understand why we had to do this soon.” he said.

“Why not now?”

“Because you shall be able to appreciate it more.” he said.

She nodded as she thought about her parents and the fact that she would never be able to see them again. She knew that all of this was because these people had an agenda for her. She then thought about T.O.O.T.R.O.E. didn't they have an agenda too? Didn't they want her to do the things that they wanted? Was there anyone left in the world who cared for her? She thought.

No, they're dead. She thought. She felt the tears coming for this very realisation alone cut deeper than any blade. She then felt a hand on her. She whacked the hand away from her. Leto looked at her in understanding. He then pulled her in closer and then hugged her as her tears drenched his clothes. He said nothing as he waited for her to clam down.

When she stopped crying he then led her to a bath filled with that yellow gold juice that he had given her. He then was given a plain yellow dress robe with golden lining with a gold rope belt. Beside it was a long red wrap around coat with a black sun on the back..

“I'll leave you on your own. Make sure that you're ready when we land.” he said.

She nodded as he closed the door. She then took her clothes off and sank into the bath. She felt strange. She felt refreshed and when she cleaned herself it was far easier than water. When she washed her hair she felt like her hair was stronger than it was, and she could even feel the clean hair and she could smell honey and roses. She could also feel better and cleaner than she ever had. Then she dried herself. She put on yellow underwear and then her new clothes. The yellow exposed just how pale her skin is. She then flipped her dark brown hair out. By the yellow, it looked black, but next to the black it was exposed to be brown.

She noticed that she was different than she thought she would. She looked quite beautiful and almost like a princess. She felt, for the first time in a long time, like a girl. Her muscular frame well hidden but the shape of the dress. She liked this feeling and she wished that she could show her parents this.

She then walked out of the room and then she walked to Leto.

“You know that looks quite beautiful in that.” he said.

She tried to not look too happy about the compliment.

“Thanks.” she said as she tried to brush it off.

He smiled. He turned back as they arrived. They walked down the ramp and then her eyes greeted gold blades of grass and a pyramid that looked like a square based wedding cake with each different section stacking on top of each other. She saw that there were people were standing on each section wearing identical clothes to her. She looked up at the sky which was scarlet with orange and yellow clouds.

“Well, time for you so see your new home.” he said.

He then put and arm around her and they walked forward to a triangular entrance. She was soon guided to a stair case and she followed him down them. She saw that there was a sun pattern engraved all over the walls and others were painted with gold.

She then saw a woman come up to her and shake her hand with a broad smile. She then nodded, as another followed her and she soon shook that hand and she was approached by a man who shook her hand and she was soon shaking so many hands and was greeted with so many smiles that she lost count. This led her to becoming bashful and somewhat shy. She just wanted to find a place where she could hide.

She was soon in a room. Where there were others that looked at her and nodded to her respectfully, which made her feel a little more comfortable.

“So you are Lorra Cerberus I assume?” said one woman, that even-though she looked young and in her mid twenties, by her dignified posture and the way that she spoke it was all too clear that she must have been ancient.

“Please, call me Loc.” she corrected.

“Loc, how was your journey here?” she asked.

“Alright. Urm...What's your name?” she asked.

“Lyonna Lifestarr. That's with two r's by the way.”

“I never asked.”

“I know.”

“I'm Lock Rain.” said the man beside her.

“I am Loki Crystal.”

“And I see you have already met Leto.”

“Yes, now could you all tell me what this is all about?” she snapped.

“Yes, well, I am sorry that we had to recruit you in such a forceful way, however it can not be ignored that you are a special case, for your sisters, the other two thirds of Grasharlo, have been giving us a lot of grief and have been attacking our small community.” Lyonna said.

She nodded.

“What have they been doing?”

“Well they have been killing us and some of us, that they don't kill they keep for their magical experiments.” Lock said.

“So, we decided to recruit you so that they may leave us alone.” Loki said.

“So I'm a hostage?” she remarked.

“Yes, I guess that you are.” said Lock.

Then Lyonna came up to her and took her hand.

“Yes, you are, but we shall make you a comfortable one. You have great power so you shall give birth to your stars very quickly. I can tell that you shall be a Sunburner that will be rapidly advanced with in a year. You could be at our level within two.” she said. “Now, let me show you to your room.”

She then took her from the room and she saw that the rest then went onto talking amongst themselves. She then turned her head as she was guided to another set of stairs. She soon found that she was under the level she was in. She followed her down a corridor.

“This, is where all the bedrooms are.” Lyonna said. “This is where you shall be sleeping, and we you will be shown where you will be eating.”

She turned a corner and then gestured to a room where she saw two beds. On one side there was a bed with crimson covers. Above that there was a shelf filled with books. On the other side there was a simple bed with black covers.

“This is your room and I believe your roommate will be coming soon.” she said. “So get yourself settled in and I will leave you to it.”

She nodded as she walked in. She walked up to her bed. She sat on it and she looked around feeling lost. She knew that she should have to escape this place but what they had just told her had been enough to keep her where she was. In her heart she knew that this would be a good opportunity for her to find out just how far she had come and how far she knew she had to go.

“Hi! I guess you’re Lorra Cerberus.” said a high pitched, but cold voice.

She turned around to see a girl with pale skin and long hair the colour of dandilyons and narrow eyes the colour of blood. She had a wide smile and thin lips. All this gave her a cold, but welcoming beauty that could get anyone to drop their guard. She had a surface level look of innocence, however there was a much more deadly and dangerous thing underneath that was anything but.

“Loc.” she corrected.

She held her hand out and smiled wider.

“Lillith Lamblain, Lamia for short.” she said as the girls shook their hands.

The First Sun

Loc woke the next morning, she had no wish to escape this place. She felt strangely calm and her mind was quiet. She knew her place in this place, and yet she was alright about it. She knew that she was a hostage, or bait, yet it ocord to her that she had been from the moment that the War of the Witch. She was used as bait to lure out Grasharlo’s followers, yet she was even-though she allowed to do what she has done over the years, she knew that all this was because she was going to try everything to bring her sisters’ evil reign to an end. Being used as a pawn against her sisters was, regardless of whether or not she liked it, her roll from now on, and will always be.

“Good morning girl!” sang Lamia.

“Morning.” she mumbled.

She slipped out of her bed and then walked over to the far door. She opened it and then she cleaned herself in that strange liquid. She then got out and dried herself off. She then put on her dress and her coat. She then dried her hair.

“Here, let me.” she said as she took hold of her hair. “Wow! Your hair’s long!”

“Yeah, I’ve been meaning to have it cut.” she admitted. “But I’ve just not had time to cut it.”

Lamia smiled as she pulled all her hair out. She then started to brush. Yet she brushed it in a way that made sure that she never felt any painful pull, just like the way her mother used to do it. She felt like a child again. She was soon falling into a trance as her mind became spaced out and sleepy.

“There we go! Now follow me.” she said.

She looked up almost dreamlike and nodded. She followed her down to the lowest level, where she saw that the whole place was lit up by torches of many different colours and there she saw that underneath them was that yellow gold liquid surrounding the room and in the centre was a small pyramid table with a single goblet and only one single brick bridge that led up to it.

“Come on!” said Lamia as she guided her down the stairs.

She, in a dreamlike state followed her and she approached the table with the goblet on.

“Drink that.” she said.

She reached out and saw that the liquid inside that was like looking at a wolf moon night and in the center was a star. She felt part of her saying that she should not drink it but then Lamia started took out a brush and started to brush her hair and she then took the goblet and then she took a small she then put it back and then Lamia stopped.

She felt herself start to feel tingly all over and this started to feel pins and needles, like her whole body had become numb and the blood had just started to circulate. She then felt her entier body surge in an unusual heat, that was like being in the middle of a fire. Then the pins and needles soon felt swords and daggers. She then fell and closed her eyes like she had just fainted. Leaving her in her dark agony, looking like she was sleeping sweetly.

Lamia picked her up and then walked to another chamber that had a pool filled with the yellow gold liquid. She then lowered her into the pool and then let her fall under the pool. Her nose and ears were filled with it, had she not been immortal she would have drowned. Her body started to pulse like a heart then it twitched and soon she convulsed. She was helpless as her body twisted and turned under the strange liquid. She then let out scream after scream and the liquid flooded her mouth and even then she continued to scream. She soon felt foam leave her mouth but the blood and foam, even her saliva became dissolved into nothing. She came in and out of consciousness. She did not know how long she was there but then her body rose and Lamia picked her up.

She then dried her and then took her back to their room. When she woke she felt strangely at peace and her body felt strangely stronger and better. She could even feel that her body moved clearly, and her skin was paler but she could feel that it was softer and smoother. She then looked at herself in the mirror and spotted all her spots were all gone, and her face was perfect.

“I didn’t expect that you’d react so violently!” Lamia said as she came up behind her. “It must mean that you’ve got a great amount of power.”

“How come?” she asked.

“It’s the only explanation.” she said. “Which would mean that whatever power you do have must be suppressed by something.”

“Now, come. We’ve got to get that star in you as soon as. After all once you’ve got that in you then you can get it out and you will have all the powers of the sun.” she said.

“But I-”

She then grabbed her hand and then she raced her down to the lowest level and then she saw a table and a goblet above the head.

“Now, lie down there.” she said as she walked over to the goblet.

She then walked over to the table and then lay down. She did not wonder why she was doing this, but even though part of her did not want to do this, she did it nevertheless. She suddenly felt her body go stiff and she could not move. She then saw Lamia pour the liquid that looked like a wolf moon, and then the yellow gold liquid she then placed her hands at both ends and then she heard that there was bubbling. She then put in another, liquid which was pitch black. Something told her that she was not supposed to do that.

She then stirred it with her finger.

“You know, I knew the Dark Lady Grasharlo. She was nothing like you. I mean she was evil and cruel. You’re quite nice and sweet.” she said as she then walked over to her. “Which makes me wonder....After all, it is said that the Great Hero Reho is in the same body as one of the three of you.”

She then opened.

“Maybe, I found out who’s his host. After all that would make more sense.” she said and she then poured the liquid down her throat. When she had drunk the whole thing she closed her mouth. She then felt a warm sensation in her gut and she soon felt that it became hotter and hotter, yet the heat started to climb and she soon felt a heat coming from her gut become so hot that she knew that if she did not become immortal she would be dead. It became so hot that she passed out.

When she woke, she could remember nothing of the day before and a hot feeling in her stomach. Then she got up and looked at herself in the mirror and saw that there was a black five pointed star in between her eyebrows.

First Flair

Lamia woke Loc up. She wanted to sleep on a little more, however Lamia prosisted and she soon came around and she got up. She then sleepily walked over to the bath. She had gotten used to the strange liquid. She then put her dress and coat on. She had gotten used to the whole place and the heat. She knew that she had a star forming within her, yet she did not seem to mind. She had even gotten used to the star in between her eyebrows.

“Loc, come on!” sang Lamia.

“Where are we going this time?” she asked.

“The medical chambers.” she said. “We have to moneter you to make sure that things went well and that your body has accepted the sun.”

She nodded. She followed her to the end of the dorms.

“By the way, what do you remember after you took your last potion?” she asked.

She was taken back and confused by the question.

“Nothing. Why?” she asked.

“Just curious.” she said casually. She then turned around to look at her. “By the way did you know that the Dark Lady Gasharlo hid seven books that journalled all of what she did?”

“No! How do you know?” she asked, surprised.

“I met her once, and I don’t mean your sisters, but her before the Great Hero Reho got to her.” she said.

“What?” she snapped, shocked.

She smiled slyly and in a show-off way.

“Yes, she was quite smart and an expert in her craft.” she said. “As I was an inprssionalbe child back then, I was easily impressed. So I guess that I still retain the respect and marvel I had for her. Though I know that she was evil, I don’t think that I can ever be rid of that.”

She raised her eyebrow.

Can’t judge that. After all, I wouldn’t know if I would be the same if I had met her. She thought.

“Because of that I wanted to learn all that I could about her, such as there were many things that she was after and she hid her biggest secret in an unknown cave and that none can get into, well unless you have the two keys to it, which are divided into two cores, one gold one silver, and the teeth are now five silver and gold rings.” she said pointing upwards.

She looked shocked at what she knew, as she felt a thirst to read those books and to find out the big secret that she had. She wondered if that big secret could help her defeat her sisters. After all if it was that big then there must be a reason that she did not want the rest of the world to know. So she knew that after all of this then she would definitely ask to go looking for them. After all, what harm could all of this do?

She then smiled as she turned back and then they went down to three levels below and then they walked down that corridor and then turned to the room at the far end. They then were greeted by a woman with a star in between her eyebrows.

“Hi Lohna, this is the famous Lorra, she prefers to be called Loc, with a c not k or ck.” she said.

She smiled and nodded. She came up to her and placed a hand at the top of her stomach.

“Tell me, does it heart?”

“No.”

“How hot is it?”

“I think that it’s like a small flame.” she said.

“Good, good.” she said as she wrote something down. “Tell me, how do you, yourself feel?”

“Alright.” she said.

“Nutril?”

“Yeah.”

“Good.”

She then put a hand on her head and then looked at her eyes and then pulled her dress up and then she frowned.

“That’s strange.”

“What?” she asked, trying not to focus on the slight humiliation that she was feeling.

“It seems that within a day you have developed what would normally take a week. So it should be out of you sooner than most. Come back tomorrow and I’ll give you an estimation of how long it’ll be in there.” she said as she put it down and wrote down more things. She nodded.

“What are you writing?” she asked.

“My notes on this session. That’s all. Now if you feel any pain, tell me immediately.” she said.

She nodded.

“Then see you tomorrow.” she said.

“See you tomorrow.” she said with a cheery tone.

She nodded and then left. She and Lamia walked around, and they soon came to a library. There she started to read the first book that she laid her hand on. She then soon became engrossed as she learnt that she was reading about the origins of the Sunburners. It was long ago in the age of the Fourth Gods they were set up by the Goddess Ligh, who wanted to make more stars and her followers offered themselves as a sacrifice to make that happen. This caused many to die as the star inside burnt them up as they grew, causing them to die a quick and painful death.

Then this was what happened for the next five ags. Then, everything all changed when two of the Sixth Age of Legends found a pool that could become immortal. This was quickly found by the Sunburners. Then they conquered the land and secured it. This way Sunburners could give birth to many stars and never die. This came with an interesting side effect, and that was that they would develop fire based powers. Not magic, but something else. Their bodies became slightly more resilient to heat and fire. This, then led to the present.

She then put the book back and then went to get something to eat. She then went back to the library and took another book. She then knew that it was time for her to go back to her room, but she wanted to finish the book first. Then she went back to her room and went to bed. She then woke up the next morning and she was in her second session and her stomach was being looked at by Lohna.

“I would give you about two or three months.” she said.

She nodded.

“Right.”

“Tell me, what do you do in your spare time here?” she asked.

“I found the library yesterday so I think that I’ll spend more of my time there.” she said.

“Why’s that?”

“I love books.”

“Right, then enjoy, but please do, in that last month try to avoid the library.” she said.

She nodded.

“So, can I go?” she asked.

“Yes, but I think that you ought to know, your development would normally take an entire year. So I don’t know if I should tell you that the more powerful the person is the faster the process becomes.” she said. “So you must have a great amount of power, however something must be suppressing it.”

“Must be…” she agreed.

“Now you go on.” she said.

She smiled and nodded. She then went to the library. She picked up the book next to the one that she finished the day before and she soon finished that. She, over the next two months, had read just over three quarters of the library. She then in that final month she spent with Lamia, where she was told of many things about Grasharlo, like the fact that she once fell in love with a man that broke her heart so badly that she cursed his soul to dwell in a small stone and threw it into a pile of pig dung. Then there was the fact that she had many rivals and children, all of which she had sacrificed for greater power. She had started a chain of wars one after the other. Then there was a man that she had a flirtatious rivalry with. Who wanted to know what the secret to her great power was. Within the whole month, she learnt more about Grasharlo than she had within three years in the academy!

All the while the heat in her stomach was getting hotter and hotter. By the time that final month came the heat in her stomach was hot enough for her to burn through a normal mortal person. It hurt but she was, to her astonishment, quickly able to get used to it. In fact, she had noticed that she was getting used to lots of heat, to such a point that the hot, tropical, atmosphere seemed more cooler than when she came.

She then on the fourth day of the third month she felt the heat was intense and she knew that the sun was going to come out soon. So she decided to go to Lohna, but as she passed a Sunburner Lohnen she felt something rise from her throat. It was intensely hot and it rose up, it burnt her throat and then a solar flair left her mouth. He turned to her and put his hand on her arm and then he rushed her up to the stars. She was soon at the top of the pyramid and, even though this was the first time that she had had any fresh air, she could not enjoy it.

She then felt the sun rise up and she felt blood flow from her mouth and dry up immediately as it rose up. She kept her mouth open as she knew that the sun that had been developing in her for the past three months and four days was coming up…

The Birth Of The Killing Star

Loc she felt it burn her throat as it came up, her throat was lighting up like a bright torch was being shone at her throat. It hurt so much then it was like boiling water was being poured down her throat. She could feel the blood running down, but being evaporated. She tried to scream at the pain but her voice was silenced as her voice box was being burned away.

She felt her tears blind her and the whole place was being shaken and the clouds became dark around her and the rain poured down with ice cold drops. She saw another flair pour out of her mouth and blood came dry on her chin. She could not see anything, and the rain did nothing to help her plight.

Then she felt the pain come to her mouth, evaporating her saliva and her blood as the star rose to it. She then closed her eyes as the sun came out of her mouth. She just could not wait until this star was out of her mouth and getting all of this over. Then she knew that she would be able to get some rest and sleep without the pain, but she knew that he would have the dread of knowing that they would make her do this again.

Then the star came out of her mouth and she flopped down onto her back. She felt exhausted and just wanted to get back to her bed and get a long night’s sleep. She welcomed the ice and the cold drops of rain, she kept her mouth open as the rain soothed her mouth and throat. She breathed in and out deeply and long. She suddenly felt better and her eyes looked at the star that had been in her for the past three months.

“So what are you going to call it?” Lohna ashed.

“Sherimon Grace. After my sisters.” she said.

He smiled as he looked at the star. Then he started to look ill and then he hugged his stomach. He then started to shake and convulse. He collapsed as foam frowed out of her mouth and she said blood. She saw his face become green and then purple. His eyes bulged and became a grim shade of yellow.

“Kill-ing s-star?” was all he could say as he died.

She looked at him shocked as she knew that the star had somehow killed him. She knew that this man was immortal, so how did the star that came for her kill him? Just what was that star? How did it kill an immortal? These questions she had no answer to all she knew was that that star was evil, and it could kill anyone who looked up on it.

She looked up at it and knew that the name that she had just given it was not the name it should have.

She remembered the power that she had. She had tried to summon it but she could not. She tried to will it so much to destroy the star that she had been forced to give birth to. Again, there was nothing that came of it. It was all too clear that she could do nothing to destroy it as it rose higher and higher. So she knew that she would have to give the star another name, one that reflected it.

“Star, you are not Sherimon Grace, you’re evil and a killer! I will call you Mortyamikira for you are a deathly dark mistress and ruler!” she shouted.

“You know that’s a good name!” came Lamia’s voice from behind her. She walked up to her. “Mortyamkira, it’s a good name.”

Rescue Of The Ring

It was barely a day after the birth that would mark the birth of Mortyamikira when Loc was woken by the sound of gunfire. Loc was exhausted after the day before but she was feeling stronger than the day before. She knew that it was T.O.O.T.R.O.E. she knew that it would be soon time to go home and get out of this cult. She was also slightly afraid, after all did they know that the Sunburners were immortal? If they did not then they would only end up dead, if so then they knew that this was a suacide mission.

Then she heard the sound of a loud blast. She then got out of bed and ran to where the gunfire was coming from and she was about to go to them when she felt a mans’ hand over her mouth and pulled her back. She then felt her feet rise up and then she twisted and turned as she tried to get free. Then Lamia looked at her and she suddenly felt no desire to struggle against them. So she let them carry her deeper and deeper underground. She was getting lower and lower to a point that she could no longer hear the gunfire.

Then they came to a small door, that was so simple and plain that one would naturally walk past it. They then put her in.

“Lilith keep her here and stay here and keep her company.” ordered Leto.

She nodded.

“Right, I will come back once I have taken care of this. I’m sorry to have to do this to you but I cannot afford to lose you.” he said as he left.

“Well, what an unexpected turn of events.” Lamia commented.

“What?” she asked, confused.

“Oh, I forgot, you don’t remember do you?”

“Remember what?”

“Don’t worry, I’ll fix that. Now let me say that you have played your part wonderfully. Father will be pleased with you.” she said.

“Hur?”

“Hold on.” she said as she placed her hand on her head. Suddenly she remembered everything that took place here and how that star was conceived. She flared up with rage and she went to punch her, knowing that she was to blame for the creation of Mortyamikira and why it kills. She then felt her whole body freeze up and she stood where she was, incapable of moving. She felt her heart drumming in her ear. She put her hand on her closed fis nd then pushed it down like, as if it was nothing.

“Yeah, I should have guessed you’d do that.” she said as she started to play with her hair. “You know your air really does look quite nice, but it really is far too long for its own good.”

She then took out a brush and she felt her pull her hair back and then she parted the hair into two.

“It’s thick too!” she commented as she pulled out a pair of scissors. “Now let me start by telling you that the sun that grows in the Sunburner feeds upon the power of the host.”

She then pulled out a leather bag.

“Which means that you have a great amount of power hidden within you, and whatever’s suppressing it must be equally more powerful. Which makes me glad.” She said as she took her hair and brushed it. She took a lock of her hair and cut it. She then put it in her bag. “It means that right now you’re safe to be around.” Snip. “But there will come a time,” Snip. “when all that power will come out” Snip, snip. “and I want some assurance so that” snip. “I don’t have to worry about you.”

She saw her hair by her right.

“Which is why I will be taking your hair.” Snip. “Just in the case you become a great threat to me or my father.’ Snip.

“Though I must say that this has gone better than I ever thought or expected.” she said as she turned to her back. “The Sunburners are going to fall and neither my father nor I will need to lift a finger to do it.”

“But aren’t-”

“The Sunburners immortal?” she said as she started to cut the back and she felt a slight chill as she wind hit the back of her bare neck. “Well, there are ways to kill an immortal, and because of the tip I gave them, they know who to send to kill them. After all if an immortal is turned to dust, they can die.”

Her eyes widened at what she was hearing. She knew that she was being used as a pawn right from the start, for Leto, this was to keep them safe from her sisters and for this girl, she was a pawn to ensure their destruction. It made her feel humiliated and used. This added to her frustration and rage. All she wanted to do was give this girl and Leto a punch and let out her rage and frustration.

“Now, I will tell you this, T.O.O.T.R.O.E. will never let you go. They will use you far more than I ever have and Leto combined. They will never let you go even after you have killed your sisters. After all they all know how valuable you are. However I would recommend that you find the books that Dark Lady Grasharlo wrote and those keys, after all it will be interesting for you to do so.” she said as she cut away the rest of her back hair. She then turned to her left.

“I will tell you this, one of you three houses the Great Hero Reho, and once you find out which, then it will become more interesting for me to see.” she said as she snipped away and soon she was facing her. She looked at her as she saw that her bag was almost full. She wanted to punch her so much, but yet she could not. She then brushed her hair in front of her eyes and then closed her eyes. She then heard snip after snip. “Now, that’s better.”

She then opened her eyes and brushed her hair out of her eyes.

“Wow, I never thought that you suted a long frindge, now don’t say I didn’t do anything for you!” she said. “Now see you when I see you!” she sang as she was eclipsed in red smoke and when the smoke vanished she was gone. She flopped down, her head felt light and then as she looked to her right she saw Leto.

She ran to him and then let out a punch that he caught by grabbing her wrist and then she flighed her finger tips. She then kicked him in the groin. He then punched her in her cheek and raised the heat in his fist as it collided. She then hit the ground. She then saw his foot come for her hip and she spun away and as his foot rose over her and rolled back to him and he collided with the ground. She then dived on him and hit him again and again in the face. She let out her rage, anger and her fear in every punch. She found the memories of what happened to her here and the past year flash before her eyes.

She then felt something in her throat. She started to choke. She rose her fingers to her throat to feel a hilt of a dagger in it. The pain shot through her and she knew that she was coughing on her own blood. She then was kicked off him and he got to his feet. He then took hold of the hilt and she choked as he slid it. She soon felt like she could no longer move, almost as if her brian could no longer send messages to the rest of her body.

She was helpless as she felt foot after foot dig again and again in her gut. She then felt a great belt and she was spinning away and she hit the wall behind.

“You should have done what you were told! You should have behaved like a good girl! But you did this somehow! How? How did you tell them?” he shouted. “Was it witchcraft? Did you use magic? Did you?”

He then pulled the dagger from her throat.

“No.” she said weakly. “It was Lamia.”

He pulled back and then hit her in the face and her nose bled.

“How? She was the most loyal to our course!” he snapped.

“Leto!” boomed a man with all of his fists covered with rings. “Leave the girl alone. After all it was not her that gave us the location of this place!”

“Ringer. Of course you would say that.” he said as he pulled his dagger up to him.

Ringer sighed as he punched his fists together again and again and she heard a high pitched buzzing sound and the jewels of the rings lit up and he then thrust his fists to him. Then, from his rings came a bright, blinding light and when it faded there was nothing but ash left.

Ringer rushed to her.

“Are you alright Loc?” he asked.

She shook her head.

“Come.” he said as he picked her up and she was then carried to a pod. When she felt strong she told them everything that happened to her over the time that she was with the Sunburnes.

“Lamia eh...I know her, she was one of the witches that dwelt in the Queendom Isles a while ago.” he said. “But I hate to admit it that she is right, we do need to find and get them. I think that you should do it, after all you passed your exams and now you are an agent of T.O.O.T.R.O.E. I think that this would be a good first mission. I know that I’m playing into her hands but I think this time it will be a good idea to.”
