The Sorrowful Rebel Chapter Seven Rise Of The Rebel Pt 2

 The Crew

Loc sat down. She looked at all the photos of the people ahead of her. She could tell that there were too many to count. Yet she knew that she did not have enough time to get to know each and every one of the people that the photographs were of. So she knew that she had to rely on someone who already knew them.

Right, the first thing that I'm going to need is a crew by my side. A team to help me navigate this world as I am on my own this time. After all, I don't know that much about this world nor do I have the time to. Not with other people out there that need saving.

She looked up beside her.

“Urm, First Son, could you bring in someone who knows this factory well?”

I hope that I'm doing the right thing.

“Sure.”

Good.

“Could you get them?”

“Will do.”

He left and brought in a woman. She was well built and had grey skin, steel coloured horns and glowing white eyes. Suddenly she was reminded of her Aunt Morgan. Even her unmoving face, which made it difficult to read her and her guarding her emotions, reminded her of her.

“Your name?”

“Sorrowful. Yours?”

“Sword.”

Good name!

She nodded.

“Any reason you wear the mask?”

Just like Aunt Morgan too. Straight to the point.

“Yes.”

“Why?” She asked, her eyes getting narrower.

She's a good one.

“I can't say at this moment of time.”

“And will you tell us?”

“In time I will.”

“You better.”

She asks good and straight forward questions. I like her.

“Tell me, with the mines and this factory, how many weapons can you produce a day?”

“One hundred. If we are all working at top speed.”

“Can I trust you with that?”

She shrugged.

“Sure.”

“Good. Then that is what you will do. And don't push it. In fact, none of you do. If anyone falls ill, do we have a medic?”

“One.”

That's concerning.

“Who?”

“Wiser Sister.”

Another good name.

“Then get her to teach a group of them medical practices. And bring her here.”

“Can I go now?”

“Yes. And thank you. And do a good job!”

Her eyes widened.

“'Thank you'?”

She smiled and shrugged.

“Don't mention it.”

Right, I need to write down all that I want in my inner circle.

She wrote down the names when Wiser Sister came in. She looked up at the woman with gold skin, white horns and pale turquoise eyes.

She's beautiful!

“You wanted me?”

“Yes. I want you to set up a medical team. If you need to teach anyone that you think would be a good medic, consult with Sword to ask to teach them.”

She nodded.

“Also, ensure that all are well. Do a good job and don't push it! Thank you.”

I'll be putting her in charge of the medical unit.

Sword will be in charge of the weapons.

Noble Wolf will be my escort until I can get the hang of driving.

First Son and New… I think I would like to know what they can do.

“Could you call in First Son and New?”

“Alright, thank you.”

First Son and New walked in soon after.

“You wanted us?”

“What can you do?”

“Well I was brought here because I was covering the old rebellion's actions.” Said New.

“And I was brought here because of my knowledge of the world.”

“Then tell me, if you wanted to inspire everyone here to rise up, how would you do it?” She asked testingly.

“I would broadcast a speech. One that inspires how and a desire for freedom.”

She nodded.

“'Broadcast'?”

“Show it on T.V.”

She nodded.

“Then let's do it!”

The Declaration

In the home of Little Heart, who still believed in the Evil Emperor and longed for a lover and that he would give her one, despite what that freak had told her. Even though she had said those horrible things, she knew better. She knew that she would find her handsome prince. She knew that the Evil Emperor will come one day with him and they would have many, many children and live happily ever after.

She sat down and turned on the T.V. to calm herself down. Then, suddenly, she heard a knock on the door. She looked back and her heartbeat skipped as she looked back. She felt the smile play on her lips as she could guess that it was the Evil Emperor with her soul mate. She got to her feet and walked to the door. Wondering who could possibly be at the door in jest.

Maybe it's the charming one that the Emperor has promised.

Quickly she became alert as her heartbeat increased. She smiled as she ran to the door and opened it. In front of her was a man with dark purple skin with lilac eyes and silver horns. The first thing she noticed was his well built frame, the next thing she noticed was just how handsome he was. Finally she saw his determination in his eyes.

“Hello, are you the one that met the one from another world?”

“Urm, what?”

That was when she remembered the freak. She remembered how her skin was and her head had long fur on her head and not horns. Her eyes did not glow and they were different colours too! She felt confused at this.

Why would he mention her? Wait, what did he say?

“That girl was from another world?”

“Yes.”

“But that means that the Emperor lied to me!”

So what she said was true!

“He's lied to many people about many things. The woman told me to come to you and that you wanted someone.”

She thought about me!

“Yeah, the Emperor told me that he would give me a husband at the right time. She told me that was a lie. But I didn't believe her until now…”

“Who's that?” He asked.

She looked back to see someone on the T.V. screen. She was wearing a mask that had a deformed X on the top with an equally deformed smaller R and L at either side.

“Good question.”

“Must be her.”

“Greetings all! I am Sorrowful and a Sorrowful Rebel. I have heard all the evil that the Evil Emperor has done. I have been in his presence. I also know his true name. Behold! It is Wolf Raven and his son is Light Bringer. Both of them have been hoodwinking rebels who have longed for freedom for centuries. For they have been passing as the leaders and their second in command of the rebellion for years. They have been killing all those that came from other worlds. They have been culling all the rebels and stopped their families from having children in order to breed out rebellion and the will to have freedom! I say no more!

“No more, will you be under his power, mo more, will you be subject to his cruelty. If you want to get married, you should, if you want to have children, you should. If you want to feel the breath of fresh free air, stand with us! Don't let anything hold you back anymore! And my dear, Evil Emperor Wolf Raven, if you are watching this then know that your reign will be coming to an end soon!”

Then the T.V. became static. They looked at each other.

Then the usual anchor came on, with her black skin and pink horns and glowing eyes the colour of worms.

“I am awfully sorry for that bizarre interruption. We here as Emperors Report deeply apologise for whatever distress that it caused you.”

“What is your name?” She asked, suddenly noticing how firm the man was.

“Noble Guard. You?”

“Little Heart.”

The Army

It had barely been three days since the decoration when over fifty of the island's residents joined the Sorrowful Rebel's ranks. They all had their stories and all had experienced the cruelty of the Evil Emperor. All had either been in other rebellions or been in previous rebellions under Light Bringer’s leadership. Some of them had been related to rebels. Most of them were too afraid at the time or were caught unaware of his true malice until they were forced to arrive on this island. Once it was known that the Evil Emperor would kill them or stop them from having children of their own, it made them realise that they had nothing but their lives to lose. So they joined. Others dreamed of freedom. Some joined out of duty.

Loc went out and shook their hands personally. Welcoming all of the new recruits and directing them to where their skills were best used. She made sure to talk to all of them and learn all of their stories. She could feel it drain her, but she made sure to continue nevertheless. She made sure to put up her enthusiastic but disciplined act.

By the time each day reached its end, she had collapsed on a chair and slept on her hand. Afterwards, she would wake every morning with an achy wrist. Which would make her sigh, knowing that there were more hands that she should shake and more people to speak to and sort out.

I did not give Ringer enough credit! She thought.

She soon put on her mask before anyone could see.

“Urm… Sorrowful Rebel?”

“Yes?”

“There's someone who would like to speak to you.”

“Who?”

“Army Guard. He claims to have been part of the old rebellion.”

She nodded.

“Bring them in.”

He walked in. She has light blue horns, royal blue skin and Olympic blue eyes.

“You wanted to speak to me?”

“Yes, I would like to ask you, do you have a plan to free the other rebels?”

“I do. Once I know where they are and a way to get to them.”

“Well, I can help you there.”

“Really. How?”

“They're all in the prison camp in the centre of Concerdeat across the ocean. If we travel across the ocean in a straight line we should arrive there within three or four days.”

“Then we need a ship.”

“We do.”

“Where do we go?”

“The doc is east of here. There will be an army guarding the doc though.”

“And how did you get this information?”

He pulled up his shirt revealing a mess of scars all over his chest and stomach! She felt her heart ache upon seeing this. She could feel herself starting to tear up.

“I almost died trying to escape.”

She reached out to comfort him, but upon realising this would be a bad idea, stopped and let her hand fall. She did not want him to have to go through it all again.

“Well, in that case, we should rescue as many as we can here, or better yet conquer this land. Then we will all be able to go to the prison camps of Concerdeat. Then take that land.”

He smiled and nodded and this led to another day of fifty more joining the rebellion. By the week she had an army. Now was the time to strike!

Clash Of Armies

It had been three days and they all had the weapons that they needed. Now they were ready. Loc looked at all the work in the armies here on the island. She made sure that she looked at the numbers which totalled to three hundred. She looked at her army which was only one hundred. She knew that they could do it. She also knew that, on the surface, it seemed that the odds were not in their favour but she knew that all needed to do was kill only three. Yet all of them would have to do it fast and that would lead to their victory. However her gut told her that this would not be easy. There would be other factors that would be in play. After all, she knew that she would have to weed out the cowardly. However, part of her wondered if that would affect their chances at victory. Either way ready or not they would have to get this done regardless of if they were ready or not.

She joined Noble Wolf with the others. Then passed them to the stage.

“Now, all of you! Now that we have a good number we can be off. We are going to the slave camp on this island. There are three hundred in total there, guarding the prisoners that we need to free. So I will warm you, the battlefield is not a pretty place. So all of you who want to come, I would like for you to know, I have no use for cowards nor would I hold it against you if you are. There are other ways that you can aid our efforts, like attending to the wounded and ill or making the weapons that we need to free this world. Now enough of that! The time for talking is over. Now is time for walking. So who's with me?”

They all cheered. She walked back to Noble Wolf and they were soon on their way after telling them the plan. She looked all around. She could feel her heart in her ears. She could feel the discomfort in her stomach as nervousness started to rise in her chest. She took several long and deep breaths to calm herself. Yet for some reason she was shaking. She could not quite tell if it was nerves, fear or excitement. Either way she knew that she would have to find a way to stop. She had to keep calm. Now was not the time to be shaking.

They arrived a mile away from the place. There she ordered the army to circle the slave camp, keeping a mile away. Then once they were all in place. She sent the signal to all the others to slowly walk on and on. Soon they saw the army at the front. She soon saw the metal boxes. With cannons at the top.

“What are they?” She whispered.

“Tanks.”

She nodded.

“Do they have firecrys?”

“Yes.”

“And what if there was a lit firecrys is underneath?”

“Then it would explode.”

“Taking the others down with it!” She exclaimed, punching the palm of her hand.

“Sh!”

She nodded, feeling both bashful and annoyed at this sudden outburst.

She called the back of the circle.

“Back group, get in but once I cause a distraction.”

“What kind?”

She smiled.

“You'll know. When I do, this will draw the others away and I want you to focus on the entrance. Once inside, get as many of those collars off as you can.”

“Will do.”

“Right.”

She turned to Noble Wolf.

“Stay here and wait.”

He nodded.

She called the front left group.

“Once the explosions go off, wait for the soldiers to come at me then you fire at the side.”

“Right.”

She then called the front right.

“Once the explosions go off and the front left stary picking off the soldiers, then you go in for the other side.”

She then called the middle left of the group.

“I want you to, after the front left and right start picking off the sides, then go in to circle the back and fire at the back.”

She then told the middle right group to do the same. Then she then pulled out some firecrys and ran to the side of the front tank and spotted that the cannon was trained upon her.

So it's like a ship’s cannon. It seems to be focused on me.

So I need to make sure that it has no time to fire.

She ran and pulled off her glove and lit the firecrys and threw it under the tank. She then went to run away. She quickly put the glove back on. Then she was hit by the force and she flung away from the camp and her head the tree trunk hard, knocking her out

Yet despite this the soldiers cand and went to fire at her but their ability to fire was stopped by a line of bullets firing at each of the outer side. The inner group went to fire at where the line of bullets came from. Only the right row to be taken out from the back. This caused them to look back and to be hit again and again. Then more came only to be taken out before they could even reach them.

Meanwhile, inside, the security officer was looking at this in awe. He knew that he should have been looking elsewhere, but he could not look away from what he was seeing. So he did not notice the group coming for the back. So this made it easy for them to get in without any hindrance.

“All of you. Go to the entrance, now!” He shouted.

All soldiers nodded and ran to the entrance, where they were easily taken out before they could do anything.

How? Who's leading them? How are they doing this? Where are they?

He had to close his eyes and rub them to make sure that he was not seeing things.

Soon he saw one run out and shot one. Then he heard a scream. The others fired at where the scream came from. Then there were more screams but then a line of bullets put an end to the army's only victory.

He looked down, realising that it was over. Then had killed one hundred and fifty, even though he knew that there were one hundred and fifty left, they were getting picked off like flies. So he made the call.

“Get-”

He looked down to see that fifty more were dead.

One hundred. How? Just how?

“All men final-”

He felt a cold against his skin. He looked aside.

“Tell them to surrender.”

“Take the pill.”

They all went pale and nodded. Then they all fell in the next moment with their faces becoming tinted with yellow. Their eyes bulged as their bodies shook. Foam flowed freely out of their mouths like the foam of the sea. The light of their eyes went out like the blowing out of a candle. Their bodies still twitched for a good couple of minutes until their bodies became limp and they moved no more.

✴️

When Loc woke, victory was theirs.

The Rescue

When Loc arrived after the prison camp had been secured, she spotted that there were several prisoners that she recognized and some that she did not. Some she saw in the rebellion, some were who To Break Son Of Peter’s house. She knew that not all the people here were brought here. She looked around and spotted that there were thirty more prisoners missing.

She looked down at her screen to see if she was not miscounting. Only to see that a truck full of the rest of them had just set off!

Quickly she ran to Noble Wolf.

“Come with me quickly!”

He looked down and nodded.

“What's happening?”

“A prison truck had just set off. We need to get them back quickly!” She shouted as they both raced to the carpark.

“What?”

“I didn't order it.”

“Oh.”

They soon ran to the car. They were soon joined by Sword. Loc rolled down the window.

“Where are you going?”

“To a prison truck that has just set off.”

They soon set off. She then quickly took off her glove and took out a few shards of firecrys. They spotted the prison truck ahead of them. Noble Wolf raced forward as they all looked around. All three got their minds focused upon what they needed to do.

“Get ahead.”

“What's your plan?”

She smiled. His eyes twitched but he kept his features still.

“You'll see.”

“Right.”

He sped up as fast as he could. He drove to the side of the truck and the prison truck drove to the side in front of them. He drove to the right. They drove to the right. The prison truck drove to the right. He drove to the left and the prison truck followed. They did this again and again. Then the truck bumped into them. They were driven back. However they had to keep up the speed as they drove on.

“Sword, how good is your aim?”

“Fairly good.”

“Then fire at those tires!”

She nodded.

“Good thinking!”

“Get on with it!”

She fired her gun at the tires. Yet this did nothing to stop them from banging the car again and again. Making it difficult to do anything. So they drove back. Then Sword raised her gun and fired. The tire popped and the truck turned. She fired again and the truck toppled over.

They were able to drive up to the prison truck. They jumped up and looked down. The soldiers were already convulsing. Knowing that she could do nothing, she reached out for the keys and soon pulled them out. She jumped out and unlocked the door.

“Come on!”

They all rushed out. She soon recognized that they were the heads of the old rebellion. Upon realising this she slipped the glove back on.

“Are you alright?”

“Yes.”

“Are you ready for a fight?”

“Yes.”

“Then let's get those collars off you.” She said as she took the axe and hit them off again and again.

They soon returned and took them all off.

The New Resources

Three days after the freeing of the slaves and making sure that they all had their medical attention they were fully recovered. They fully secured the island, which was renamed to Dawnfree Island, when a group of farmers walked in. They brought in lots and lots of food that they had harvested over the years.

“I demand to see Sorrowful.” Said one with green skin and light green eyes and brown horns.

“Why?”

“We wish for the rebellion to have lots of food along with the residents of Dawnfree.”

First Son nodded and gestured for them to follow. He knocked on her door.

“Come in!”

Then walked in as she was at a table, writing down something.

“Yes?”

“Urm… I am Farmer, this is my brother Eagle Hunter.”

“I can introduce myself!” Boasted one with bronze skin and silver horns and golden yellow eyes.

“I am Worker.” Said one with ink blue skin white horns and silver eyes.

“And we are here to deliver you all some food. After all, you will need it, for what you are all trying to do.”

“Thank you!” She said, genuinely grateful.

They nodded.

“Then continue to work and work well, but neither push yourself too far nor forget to feed yourselves too.”

“Also, I am Sower.” Said a woman with white skin, blue glowing eyes and silver horns.

She timidly walked up to her and gave her a wooden box.

“They are seeds to plant in the next  location when you are ready to move on from Dawnfree.”

“Thank you. You're very smart. I will get someone who knows what to do with them to plant them.”

They nodded as they left. Yet soon after they did, another group showed up. They all had heavy tanks driving up to the base. The rest looked at them. They all loaded their guns. But all of them climbed out of their tanks and raised their hands.

“Relax! We come with gifts.” Said one with light steel coloured horns and dark steel coloured skin and white eyes.

Loc walked up to the ground suspiciously, yet she could not help but feel curious about what they were. But she could not help but be on guard.

“What gifts?”

“Arms.” He said pointing behind him.

Arms?

Then she looked behind him.

Oh that type of arms!

Her eyes widened as she looked at the tanks. She then walked up to them and placed her hand upon one in the front. She looked under the tank and climbed up and checked each and every one of them. She also looked inside each one of them. She noticed that there was nothing wrong with them.

“Thank you!”

He smiled.

“Glad you like it. Also there are a few tanks that are at the back that contain guns of all kinds.

“Including a snake, two point oh?” Asked Sword.

He raised his eyebrow.

“You know your guns!”

She smiled.

“Of course. Do you have a silver lion too?”

“They don't have any of those on this island. But I do have the blueprints of how to make them.”

Sword looked at the blueprints with glowing eyes.

“Yes, yes! This would work. We will be able to make them with these.”

She looked back at him.

“What's your name?”

“Warrior.”

“Well, Warrior. I'm Sword.”

“Sword, do you think that you can sort out all of this?”

“Yes. But I will need help.”

“Happy too.”

They moved the tanks to the carpark. Sword logged down each and every one of them. When they were finished a truck drove on to the car park.

“Who are you?”

“Fire, with a truck full of firecrys.”

“That will do us well. Thank you!”

By the end of the day, they had all that they needed in abundance.

Now, we need people to use them!

The New Recruits

Loc looked around as three men walked in. One had bright green skin, yellow eyes and bronze horns. One had reddish pink skin, silver eyes and brownish green horns. The last had bright yellow skin, silver horns and pink eyes. Infact Loc could not help but be reminded of the Seelie Court fairies. She would not be surprised if he turned out to be magical.

“Who are you?”

“Elf Army.” Said the bright green one.

“Man, Warrior.” Said the reddish pink one.

“Army Man.” Said the last.

“I was a child when I arrived here. All my life I have been watched and controlled by the soldiers of the Evil Emperor. They worked me hard and before I could even speak I knew how to work. Man Warrior helped me speak, read and write. They are all my skills. BurbI would like to be free. I would like to be able to go to the toilet without someone watching. I would like to have a home without a soldier looking at me. Making sure I don't get close to anyone. So that is why I'm here.” Said Elf Army.

“I was part of a rebellion before the last one fell, before you. I had wondered how we all fell and were caught. However, when I saw your decoration the other day, it all made sense.” Said Man Warrior.

“I’m Man Warrior's brother. I was not part of the rebellion. I was too young as I was only a baby. I was taken once his rebellion fell. I was raised by him. Then I educate people who were not being educated.” Said Army Man.

She nodded.

“Come with me.” She told them, gesturing for them to follow.

They followed her to where Sword and Warrior were. Who were laughing as they were checking out a group of guns.

“Sword. I would like to introduce you to Elf Army, Man Warrior and Army Man. They just arrived and, from their stories, I think that they are better off with you.”

She nodded looking at them smiling. She then left them with her and walked back to the entrance when three women came in.

One had pink skin, blue eyes and pale blue horns. One has silver skin, gold horns and white eyes. The last had red skin, orange eyes and yellow horns.

“Are you Sorrowful?”

“Yes. You?”

“Candle Lamp.” Said the one with the pink skin.

“To Sow.” Said the one with the silver skin.

“Hope.” Said the last.

“I was taken from my parents at a young age. I was told to work but I did not know how. They had to teach me. After I was set to work. But I had a friend. The only one I knew. She was beaten but she died because her injuries got infected. So I learned all that I could to know all about those things. So at the end of each day I would ensure that the wounds were attended to. Yet this led me to being beaten.’

“Then you don't need to worry. You won't be beaten doing that.” She told her.

She nodded and smiled.

“Good. Well I did it again and again, and, again and again I would be beaten. Yet I still continued until I lashed out at one of them that beat me. So they-they-they took me for the first time in my entire life since I was a child. They left me with them. I told them everything that-that-that they did. And-and-and then-then-then they killed them!” She wept.

She just wept and wept. Loc walked up to her and hugged her tightly, keeping her body up as she collapsed, and let her just weep and weep. It did not matter if her shoulder was wet, what mattered was giving this poor woman some comfort. She waited as she calmed down.

“It’s not alright what happened to you, but here you will never be punished for helping everyone here.”

She nodded, wiping away the tears.

“You?”

“I was part of the rebellion led by Light Bringer. I was the seamstress there. I was captured and taken to the factory to work on the soldier's clothes. That is all.”

“Do you have more seamstresses?”

“Yes.”

“Then I'm putting you in charge of the clothes here.”

She smiled.

“Thank you.”

“You?”

“Simple. It's similar to Candle Lamp here, but I was forced to attend to the wounds of some of the injured soldiers. Only for those that I aided to be shot once they were well. It angered me. So, after your decoration, I stole a gun and killed the soldiers. I then aided other prisoners and brought more medics. But right now, all I want is to help the wounded. I also think that all medics learn to fight.”

“I will take it on board.”

She soon took Candle Lamp and Hope to Wiser Sister.

“This is Candle Lamp and Hope. I will leave them in your care. Hope suggested that all medics should know how to fight so I think that you should do that.”

She smiled.

“Do you know how to fight?” Hope asked.

“Yes.”

“Do the other medics?”

“Not yet.”

“I’ll help teach them.”

Wiser Sister smiled.

“Glad to have the help.”

Hope smiled back, a sad melancholic smile.

“Thank you.”

Loc walked to the entrance as other people were divided. Then two walked in and she recognized both of them.

“Urm… Are you Sorrowful?” Asked Little Heart.

“Yes, I see that you found someone!”

She frowned.

‘How did you know that’s what I wanted?”

She smiled and pressed her finger to her finger to her lip.

“Oh! Secret. I see!”

“Also here, you can have your book back.” Loc said, giving him the book.

“Thank you, Sorrowful.” Said Noble Guard.

“That's not all.”

“What?”

“I have a friend that has been on our side for many years but could not act upon it.”

“And?”

“We have a ship.”

Her eyes widened.

“You do?”

The Ship

“Sea Circle, Nobody.” Said the Captain of the ship, before Loc opened her mouth.

He had royal blue skin, Olympic blue horns and turquoise eyes.

“Sorrowful.”

“Don’t need to know.”

“Alright.”

Loc shook his hands as she nodded. The ship was off white, which must have been white at one point but over time it became a light shade of grey. She could see that there were a couple of rows of cannons at either end of the ship. The cabin at the top has one long canon. All were a dark silver colour. It was long and wide at the back, making it look thinner than it actually was.

“Well that’s a good ship. How many can you carry in that?”

He looked back for a moment.

“Over five hundred.”

She nodded, trying to stop herself from appearing as impressed as she was.

“Then it’s a good job that's the majority of this island. So that’s all we’re going to bring. However, I have to ask, what is your story, Captain Sea Circle Nobody?”

He looked at the horizon and his eyes narrowed as he looked at the horizon. He looked down as he let out a long and deep breath. He looked at her.

“In my youth when I was no older than eleven I joined one rebellion and that fell, it was way before your day, I’m sure. I was captured and taken here, where they were trying to both brainwash me and stop me from going to puberty. Yet I was able to slip away in the rusted air vents and escape by hiding in a ship.”

He looked down and let out a deep breath.

“But during that time I had to remain in hiding as the ship had a long journey. So I had to navigate the ship to steel food and drink to survive. When I was found by the captain, Captain Sea Fort, who recognized me. But instead of giving me up, he gave me a job. He was part of the rebellion before mine. Yet he was never caught and kept to the shadows. Learning all about the sea and had a map in his head. He taught me everything I know. I even helped other Captains turn a blind eye to the last rebellion. And let me tell you, that the majority of us did. But not all ships were on our side. Believe me, I know the captains that have pledged wholeheartedly to the Evil Emperor, Wolf Raven.” He explained.

“Right. However, I must admit that I don’t blame them. However, I know that we must kill them to keep their honour intact. That is until the mastermind behind them is dead. Then, once I find someone to take over here, we will be off.”

“Good. Sooner the better.”

Loc then looked around and looked at the list. She wondered who would be best to be put in charge. Yet she knew that it would not be Noble Wolf as he was her escort. First Son seemed to be good, but there was only one person that came to mind and that was Sword.

But who will take her place in my inner circle?

Man Warrior? He may have the experience that I need. Also he would be doing all that he has been doing.

She then walked up to both Sword and Warrior, who were holding hands.

“Yes?”

“Me and four hundred and ninety eight will be leaving to Concerdeat. I want to leave you two to keep Dawnfree safe.”

She nodded.

“Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean, are you ready for that?”

“Yes, or at least, we are as ready as we can be.”

She nodded.

“And who will-”

“Man Warrior.”

“Yes?"

“We will be leaving. I will be leaving Sword here to take over here. Also, I think Warrior should be your second in command.” She said with a sly smile, yet as she remembered her team and how they all coupled up, it became sad.

She felt her throat tighten.

She closed her eyes.

No. Mourn them later. She thought as she swallowed.

Sword smiled relieved and nodded.

Thought she’d like that.

“So train him in all that he needs to. Consult with Wiser Sister with which medics need to stay.”

“Right.”

They all spent the rest of the day getting ready and in the early hours of the following day they all set off. Leaving three hundred behind and taking two hundred, who were willing to go.

The Journey

They were making steady and good progress from the moment that they took off to the first three to four hours. Loc looked at the reddy-brown sea as she took a blue purple fruit that she had never seen before. She suddenly remembered the time when she had escaped and her chaotic journey under the water. She could feel her heartbeat increase as she had to breathe deeper and had to walk to a secluded area of the ship. She took off the mask for a moment to breathe fresh air deeply. She closed her eyes and took this moment to enjoy letting the fresh air hit her skin and fill her lungs.

She, trying to help calm herself down, took a bite of the fruit. It tasted juicy and sweet and like Turkish delight with a hint of mint. This helped steady her heart and as she took bite after bite her breathing steady. When she was finished she felt completely calm.

When she was calm, she opened her eyes to see that there was a ship coming at them. She could see the cannons on each side and one at the top. She could see helicopters and small planes. The moment that they were in range, the planes took off a long side then helicopters.

Quickly she put her mask back on and ran to Captain Sea Circle.

“We have a ship coming!”

He then looked out to see it.

“What do we do?”

She soon gathered all on board.

“All of you, split into two groups. One goes for the planes. The other will focus upon taking that ship out.”

“How do you know that they will not kill us?”

“In the name of the Emperor, I will take you down!”

She looked at the one that asked.

“Question answered.”

Soon one group ran to the cannons. They aimed at the ship. Then the cannon of the enemy ship fired. It flew into one of the top floors.

“Oi! The back one, take that cannon out!”

First Son nodded.

“Right!”

He moved the cannon to the side. Then raised the cannon up and with a push of a button the cannon fired and hit the helicopter that flew in the way. He fired again and again, hitting the side of the cabin.

Loc looked up, suddenly afraid that Captain Sea Circle was dead. She ran to him to see that the shot had missed him. She let out a sigh. She then ran to see what they were being hit by. There she saw a large ball of firecrys.

This gave her an idea. She took off her glove and picked it up. It was hot in her hand. She had to resist the urge to drop it and scratch her hand. She quickly ran back to the cannons. She put it into the barrel. He then raised it as she placed her hand upon it. She then focused her heat into the firecrys in the barrel.

“Now!”

He pressed the button and a large ball of fire blasted out of the barrel. It hit the cannon of the other ship and because it was lit it caused the firecrys in the cannon to light, causing an explosion.

So I don’t need to touch the firecrys to light it. Good. I can use this.

She then pumped more heat into the firecrys.

“Now a for the far side cannons!”

He nodded and another ball of fire hit the far side cannons and caused another explosion. This left a great hole in the side.

That was when she saw another flash of light beside her. She was launched away and hit the deck behind her. She quickly got to her feet and checked her mask. Which was intact. She saw where the fire was and saw that the random rebel was dead.

Don’t focus on that. Keep your head in the battle.

She ran to the nearest cannon. She raised it up and aimed it at the plane in the sky. She placed her heat into the firecrys and pressed the button. It protruded out of the cannon only for the plane to move out of the way. She fired again to where the plane was going to go. So as it dodged out of the way, it was hit by the other ball of fire. This caused it to be blown back as it exploded as it hit a helicopter behind with the debris hitting some on the other side.

She felt a moment of relief rising within her. She, however, did not let herself give into the feeling as her eyes darted around. Looking for more to take down. Spotting that the others had had the air secured, she turned her attention to the ship.

She lowered the cannon to the lower decks of the ship. She pumped the heat into the cannon, she saw the fire coming from the barrel and fired. This caused the lower decks to explode. Then a trickle of water came in. She then moved it lower. Pumped the heat into the firecrys and fired again. This caused another explosion. Water soon came flooding in and the lower decks were flooding.

She looked back up to Captain Sea Circle. The cabin had taken no damage. Then she heard a crash next to her.

That was close!

“Aim for the cannons!” She shouted.

The cannons changed directions and they fired at the cannons opposite.

I wonder if I can put heat into the cannons around me?

She then tried to do this and soon smoke rose from the cannons beside her.

“Now fire!”

They all fired and four balls of fire flew out of them along with the ones that were not lit. This caused a long of fifteen holes where the cannons were. She smiled as she felt a mild tiredness sink into her. She ignored this and did it again, this time trying to reach further than she did. Then came the next row of cannons and she was able to light seven this time and this caused the tiredness to increase dramatically.

I need to end this soon.

She continued and another row of cannons were taken out. She could feel a coat of sweat over her skin.

“Now aim for the bottom of the ship!”

They all aimed down and fired. This caused the holes to become bigger causing the ship to sink. This was made worse as the pressure of the water forced itself into the ship, making the holes bigger and bigger. Once the ship was beneath the waves they cheered.

“Good work!”

“Not now. We need to gather all the dead that you can find.”

This took three hours and they held a funeral for them and found that their number was now one hundred and fifty. They looked ahead to see Concerdeat on the tip of the horizon.  She could feel the oppression of that land come upon her. She suddenly could feel the darkness of the island reach her like snakes piercing her flesh and their venom infecting her blood with their poison of despair and hopelessness.

She pushed it away, determined not to give into this and free all those unjustly imprisoned men, women and children.

Arrival

The moment that they arrived they were met by a row of soldiers. There were thirteen rows of twenty soldiers. She walked in the front. Knowing that they were all tired and they needed a miracle to pull this off, she did what she could not to look as tired as they were herself. Yet she knew that this was also useless to give in too, they knew this too but they needed the morale and something to keep them all going.

Yet there was something else that she had to do first. After all, it would be the only right way to go about it. Also it would eliminate all excuses from the room. Yet as she did, she could not help but think about that couple that were being used as nothing but baby makers for the army. She knew that some of these men were among those that were of similar backgrounds.

“Tell me, do you long for freedom?”

“No. We can not be trusted with freedom. None in this world here can. Freedom is dangerous and all who fight and long for it are evil!” Shouted the leader.

What! Did-did I just hear that? What kind of things would make them believe that!?

“So you really believe this?”

“Yes. We all do!” They all shouted.

“And I cannot convince you otherwise?”

“No. None here can.”

She nodded.

At least I tried.

“Then I have nothing to say to you! Now positions!”

They all ran to the ledge of the ship. They all popped up and fired a row of bullets at the first and second row. Then they all ducked back down. Yet the moment that they popped back up the soldiers fired at them. Taking only two out as her side fired at two rows out. She then looked back as she pulled out a sword.

“Keep it up and don’t worry about me.” She called.

Then she jumped off the ship and they all trained their guns at her. She then struck the ones closest to her. She then felt a bullet in her. She looked to where they were coming from and ran to them. She soon struck them down. She felt more bullets in her. She ran to the ones that shot at her and quickly struck them down. She felt more bullets in her. She ran to those soldiers, pushing past the pain and tiredness.

She quickly noticed that the rebels had stopped firing

“What are you doing? Yet back to firing!”

“But-”

She let out a huff.

“Don’t worry about me. I’m expendable. Don’t stop even if I get shot at or if I get caught!” She shouted.

Then one nodded as he fired at one after another. Taking more and my dear e out and soon the others followed. Then one put her hand on his shoulder.

“Stop, you’ll hurt her!”

“You heard her!”

They were both shot.  Loc looked at them shocked. Yet she knew that she had to carry on. She ran to the ones that shot the two. She soon sliced their heads off.

“What are you waiting for? Get back to fighting!”

Some nodded and started firing. One after another. Soon another row fell. Then row after row came down.

Then a tank drove up to them. She then focused the heat into the firecrys in the tank causing it to explode! She felt the tiredness becoming more and more irresistible. She saw more coming at the shore. She drove more and more of the heat into the tanks. This caused them all to explode and this caused more to explode after. Now the tiredness was becoming overwhelming.

She stopped for a moment.

I need to end this fast.

She felt the sweat on her body dripping from her, dampening her hair. She was panting heavily. She could see her vision was focusing in and out. She could feel her body shaking and she noticed that the doc was clear before all went black.

✴️

When she woke, she was lying in a bed. She saw Noble Wolf by her bed. She could see that her mask was off. She put a hand over her face.

“You know, you’re pretty reckless.”

She jumped and shot up.

“Don’t get up that fast! It will cause you to pull a muscle!”

She let out a chuckle.

“I know.”

“Don’t be or our freedom will be nothing but a stupid dream.”

She nodded.

“I will try to take it slow. By the way, where are we?”

“The docking station. We were able to take the entire doc half an hour after you passed out.”

“Thirty.”

She nodded.

“One hundred and twenty now… I think we can do it. But we need to get more numbers.”

“Well a group of us have taken it upon themselves to a small factory here.”

Her eyes widened.

“What?”

“Don’t worry. There were twenty that went, but only ten actually work there.”

She nodded.

“So go back to sleep. I will wake you when they arrive.”

She nodded, closing her eyes and sank into her dreams.

Reunion

Loc woke up early the next day. She had felt like all her energy had been returned to her and she felt completely refreshed. She slipped out of bed and quickly found the loo. There she did her business and took a quick wash. Making sure that every part of her was clean and giving her time to enjoy it as she knew that she did not know when she would be able to get a wash next.

Once she was dry, she splashed her face with ice cold water and she looked at herself in the mirror. She looked thinner and her eyes looked completely hardened and, despite her long sleep, still had heavy bags underneath them. She noticed that her amber eye had a red tint. She noticed that she looked like a strange combination of Grasharlo, Reho and herself. She was even developing faint freckles and her hair started to have a red tint.

Seeing this, her mind could not help but go to Gracey and Sharimon. She remembered how they started to look more like Grasharlo as they grew. Their hair became darker and her eyes started to become crimson. This made her wonder if, as time wore on, she would look completely like a combination of Grasharlo and Reho as she was composed of both.

She shook her head as she did not want to think about them.

Hardly matters. After all, no one’s going to care or see my face. So I guess that’s a plus. Also due to the fact that nobody here knows Grasharlo or that I’m one third of her, so none would care. Not to mention they wouldn’t even know that they should care. So I guess that I could most likely be happy here.

But what about Gracey and Sharimon? Someone must stop them and avenge mum and dad! If not me then who?

I need to get back to my world. I am the last third! So it should be me! I should be the one that stops them! I should be the one to stop all possibilities of them coming back and make sure that all of their evil is completely wiped out!

How long will it take?

She let out a sigh and dried her face. She then put her mask on then left. She then walked to the desk of the doc.

“Sorrowful, I was just about to get you!” Noble Wolf exclaimed.

She put on her mask as she looked up.

“Yeah. Just woke up. Have they arrived?” She asked, trying to fight her high expectations.

“Yes and they have taken a small factory.”

What!? That’s brilliant!

“Good. How many did they rescue?”

“You will see once they all arrive. Then the rest will wait for your orders.”

She smiled.

“That’s good.”

She looked up to see three large trucks or small buses coming. She looked at the group that came out. She immediately recognized them all. She let out a laugh, remembering that all of them were part of the previous rebellion. She clapped.

“Oh! Excuse me!” She sang as she ran to them.

“Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes!”

“Lo- Sorrowful, is that you?" Asked one with purple skin and orange horns and yellow eyes.

“Yes. It is. I remember you from the break bace.”

They hugged.

“Tell me, what happened?”

Her smile faded.

“I-I think that I better tell you once you’re all out.’

Once they were, she explained everything that happened. After she walked up to them and hugged and comforted them as they processed her words.

“So, culling rebellious natures and controlling rebellions from within…That's clever…”

“Don’t worry. It will not be like last time. This time we will defeat the Evil Emperor Wolf Raven. However, we need to take this island first.”

More To A Hold

Loc woke up early the next day. She looked at the map. She knew that there was more to do and she was ready to act. She looked at the bases on the island. She knew that she would have to take every single one of them. But the question was, which was the best? She thoroughly looked at the people and the soldiers that worked there. She noticed that some of them were rather lax upon the rebels that they were in charge of. Especially the bases that were nearer the docs.

Wonder why that is?

Then it occurred to her.

Could it be? Could it be that they are more sympathetic to the rebels?

Her eyes lit up for a moment, but she quickly returned them to neutral.

Well, if that is the case then this would be easier than I thought.

Yet if that is the case, then why aren't they doing more to help?

Maybe they’re scared?

Maybe…

If that is the case, I will need to find out why they’re scared. Could the Evil Emperor hold such terror in people’s hearts so much so that they are utterly petrified of even moving once?

Or they could be just lazy. Could be…

Which would make this no less easy. Remember, they are also trained too.

She walked to the kitchen and took out three cubes from the box and ate them. Then she took a quick wash. She put on her mask now ready for the day ahead.

She put a black shirt on with a purple jacket over and black combat trousers. She took a bag and joined Noble Wolf and they, along with fifty others, drove off. She has told Fist Son to take another base with fifty others, leaving the rest to guard their territory that they already had conquered. She knew that if they all divided and left them unguarded then they would lose them.

She soon arrived and all looked at the information that she had gathered. She got out and walked to the front door. She knocked upon it as they got into their places. It took a while for the door to open. The moment she saw the guard along with the other soldiers were far too obese to even have a lick of competence.

“We’re here to collect the prisoners here.”

“Oh?” The leader mocked taking out a box with a button on. “Are you?”

She let out a sigh. She flicked out her sword and cut the man's hand clean off! As he screamed and screamed out in pain she picked up the box. She drove her sword into the man's heart. She then ran on and on slicing the heads off one after the other.

Then the other rebels followed her and took out their weapons. They fired at one after another. Then, with Loc at the front, they ran on and on. She sliced the heads off one after another as the others shot one after another. She soon came to a flight of stairs.

She ran on and on up the stairs. She came to the first floor. She looked in and saw a group with the collars on. She then saw a guard walking on. Carefully she monitored each and every one of the workers. She took out a gun and fired at the soldier. She then ran on and on and soon arrived at the second floor. There, she saw most of the guards.

This is the floor that I’m looking for.

She barged the door open and ran on. She dived at the one closest to her. She sliced the head off. She dived on and sliced the head off one after the other. As the rest fired at the rest of the overweight guards.

She came to the control station. She was soon on the computer. Then she pressed the buttons and the collars fell. After she looked at the files, ensuring that she missed nothing. After she walked in and told them all that she had learnt from it. Then sent ten of them to take the prisoners to the truck and leave to give them medical attention.

Once that was done, she joined Noble Wolf.

“That’s one down.”

“How many to go?”

“One or two, depending on how the other team has handled theirs.” She admitted looking at her watch.

One o’clock in the afternoon…

“But we can’t fight on an empty stomach, can we?”

He laughed.

“No.”

All that remained found a café where they soon ate several purple cubes. Loc, meanwhile, took the cubes and ate them alone. Once they had finished they sent another group to deliver the food to the doc.

They then waited for the rest ro arrive before setting off to the next place. She soon arrived. She climbed out and looked ahead. She noticed that in front of her were many tanks and soldiers there. They all pointed their guns at them. She noticed that this was a weapons factory.

No wonder this place is so heavily guarded!

She walked on. She took out a gun and ran to the first one and he went to fire at her. She also looked back to see all the trucks were all gone and empty. She smiled.

Good.

She then ran to where the closest tank was. She pushed some of her heat into the tank to where the firecrys were. She ran away as fast as she could before it exploded. She was not going to get knocked out this time. She was able to use this confusion. She stabbed one in the head one after the other. Then a shower of bullets rained down on each of the soldiers and guards.

Good!

They all looked disoriented as they were trying to find out where the bullets were coming from. She ran to the nearest tank before they could do anything. She pushed another wave of heat into the tank. She pumped it into the firecrys and she ran on as fast as she could before it exploded. Shebdid this again and again as she moved closer and closer to the factory.

She saw the guards in front of her. She ran on and on and pulled out a gun and took them out. She pumped more heat into more tanks around her. She ran on before they exploded.

She soon arrived at the factory and flipped over the gate

Noble Wolf, good work.

Good.

She ran in. She ran into the air vents. She crawled to the top. Then she quickly crawled to the control room and pulled up the grid and slid down. She, as silently as she could, sliced the head off before he could speak.

She pressed the buttons and the collars fell. She soon spotted that they all took their guns and fired at the guards. They soon had the weapons factory.

She could feel a strain. It was time for food before the last place they were to go before the day was out. Once they were all fed and well rested they set off. Yet the moment they arrived the head of the mine walked out with all the prisoners all their collars were off. He walked up to her.

“That man, the one that drove you here, who is he? The mine is yours. Just promise me that you will kill the Evil Emperor.”

“His name is Wolf Raven, and I will!”

Banner Of The Rebel

Loc looked at the piece of cloth in front of her. Feeling very puzzled at what the point of all of this was. She looked at To Sow waiting for her to get to the point of the white flag

“Well as we are a new rebellion, we need the people to know that any territory that we take are now free. So we wish to make a flag.” Said To Sow.

She frowned. Wondering if she had heard that right.

“A flag?”

“Yes. One that would mark our territories. One that will decree that none of us will surrender this time.”

Her eyebrow raised.

“Alright. That sounds like a good idea!”

“It would be good if the flag has the same symbol as your mask.”

Of course they would go for this mask! It was the first attempt and I have been thinking about getting a new one.

But this mask is now the face of the rebellion, it may not be perfect but since this is my first time doing this and without help, then I shouldn’t.

“Sure, I don’t mind nor do I see why not. Yeah it sounds like a good idea. But also I would like this to reflect the fact that this is about you not me. So keep that in mind.”

To Sow nodded.

Yet as she thought about it more and the more she thought about it the more that she liked the concept. In truth, she wanted a symbol of the rebellion for a while. Yet, part of her, because that the R X and L were imperfect, did not want that to be the symbol of the rebellion. However, she saw no other alternative, unless she replaced the mask. Which was something that she could not be bothered nor had the time to do.

So she gave To Sow all the materials she needed for the creation of the flag. It was purple with the R X and L in crimson. Once it was done she picked it up. She moved it left to right. She looped it left and right. She waved it above her head and then down. She spread it out and waved it from left to right making the flag become horizontal. She then hit the bottom of the flag down.

“That is a good flag. It is thick and thin enough to move well! Well done.”

“Do you want us to make more?”

“If that is what you want. After all, all this is about you so you should have a word in.”

They smiled and went back to work.

She walked on.

“What is that?”

“A banner.”

First Son looked at it.

“It’s  beautiful!”

“Anyway. Have you got anything in the slave camp here?”

“Yes. It’s in the east in Concerdeat. There are one hundred and thirty guards and fifty one soldiers.”

She nodded.

So that's one hundred and eighty in all. So we will need to bring at least one hundred.

“How many do we have?”

“Right now, three hundred.”

“What? When did we get three hundred?’

“Over the past couple of days.’

This is going to be a piece of cake!

She had to push through the momentary shock and focus upon the task at hand

“Alright, we will leave one hundred herr and take the rest. We also need to prepare for taking the rest on the island.”

“All of it?”

“Yes. After all, we are in this for the rest of this world. I would like to leave you here to manage this place. Once it is time to move on.”

“What? Do-do you think that I can do that?”

“Yes. After all, I can tell that you can do more than you think.”

“No one’s ever told me that before.”

“Well someone has now. Now, it is time to go.”

They then joined Noble Wolf. Within the hour they were on the road. All the trucks carried several newly made flags. Loc looked at them and realised that they did look good.

She then looked on and spotted that there was a fence in front of them. There, she saw a pile of dead bodies at the base of the fence. She also spotted a group of soldiers pulling a dead body and kicked it to the base of the fence. She then spotted someone running. Then with a click of a button he fell down.

She soon walked out and shot the soldiers. She then ran away then rejoined the group.

“What's going on?”

Noble Wolf became pale.

“We need to hurry.”

“Why?”

“They know we’re coming and they have an order to kill as many as possible.”

She felt her blood turn to ice. She ran and jumped. She ran in and then threw her back to the walls. She ran in and saw a line of men and women. She kept as quiet as she could as she aimed her gun at the soldiers and fired at them. Then ran up to the prisoners and sliced at the collars again and again. She did this until the group was free. Then another ran up to them and armed them.

“I assume that you know what to do with them.”

They nodded as she ran on. She ran to another group. She shot at each of the soldiers that were leading another group to their deaths. Then she ran to them and sliced the collars off.

“Over there!” She called, pointing to the entrance.

She ran on before they could respond. She then spotted more. She also could see the other rebels doing what she was doing. She ignored them as she worked on her own. She found more groups. She shot at all the soldiers. She ran on and sliced their collars off. She continued in.

She came to the entrance to the office building. She kicked the door open, only to feel that it was made of metal. She took out a shard of firecrys and placed it inside the keyhole. She pushed her heat into it and the metal around it melted. She kicked it in again. Then she dived at the wall, missing the rain of bullets.

She looked in to see more coming at her. She dodged out of the way. She then took out several shartof firecrys. She then lit and threw them at the group. She looked back to see that she had the break. She ran in and fired bullets at them. She came close to one and slit his throat. She ran on and on. She came to more soldiers. She then shot a bullet at each of them and fell. She ran on.

She came to see more stairs. Only to see that there was a group of soldiers. They pointed their guns at her.

Right.

She ran in and fired at the ones at the top. She drew her gun in. She then ran to the first and stabbed up and charged on and stabbed the two behind. She flicked down. She ran on and stabbed two above and flicked down. She continued to charge in. She came to the first floor. She saw more soldiers coming to her. She then shot at them before they could react and feel the pain. She then ran on and on. Shooting more and more soldiers. She did all that she could to push herself on and on. Soon more seemed to come to quickly replace the ones that came before.

Then she felt it. A stabbing pain. A stabbing pain in her back. She felt more and more. She looked back to see that there were more behind her. She shot at them, taking out as many as the bullets could take out. She then felt more bullets in her.

She looked up and shot at as many as she could take out. She had to push on through the pain and the itching as the body repaired itself. She could feel a strain. She had used too much on the door. She ran on as she came to the top floor. She kicked down the door to see the operation room. She ran in and pressed the buttons and the collars fell.

She then saw a few sparks in front of her. She then heard a high pitched ticking. She did not need to look to know what it was. She soon ran out and slid down the bannister as running down was slower. She soon saw more guns pointing at her. Knowing that she did not have time for this she ran to the nearest window and crashed out of it. Once she landed she ran on and on. Then the whole building was blown apart. She looked back nothing but rubble remained.

“Tell me, are all of you here?”

“Yeah.”

“Good!”

She then took a flag and stabbed it into the pile and it waved in the wind. This was followed by the rest pulling out their own small flag and stabbing the ground beneath them.

The Taken Stronghold

Loc was approached by First Son after a long and good day of taking mines, weapons factories and making sure that those that wanted to join the rebellion and win their freedoms were well attended to. Yet the one thing that she wanted was to find either Light Bringer or his father's location. She had been looking for them for days. In fact she had heard the rumour that he was on this island after he had failed to capture her.

“Sorrowful, we have found Light Bringer.”

Her eyes widened in shock. Almost like she needed to hear that again and process what she had just heard. She looked down, for a moment as her heart beat with a rush. She could feel a smile start to spread across her face behind her mask. She knew that the moment that they had him they would be able to use him to get to Wolf Raven. This would be a great step towards freeing this world.

“Where is he?”

“He is in the mansion on the island. Apparently, he has been living there since before we arrived.”

Her eyes became wider.

So he is here!

“What!”

“Yes.”

“Then I’m taking one hundred to make him.”

“We have four hundred.”

“What?”

Wow! Looks like we have a lot more now. That's just amazing!

“Then two hundred. How many are guarding him?”

“Three hundred and two.”

She nodded.

“Then we will need to take out at least two each.”

He nodded.

At what time do you think that we should leave?”

“As soon as we can.”

“Then why not this afternoon?”

“Alright. That sounds like a good idea.”

She soon gathered them. She soon was in a car with Noble Wolf. She could feel her body elated with a strange excitement. Yet herind could not help but go over all the memories of her team. She remembered all the orders that she gave them and how each of them had their own thing going on too. She remembered all the missions that they all took together. Then how he welcomed her and helped her throughout the whole ordeal.

She also remembered her time with Wolf Raven. She remembered their missions together. She remembered all the times that they had fought and spent time together. She, with shame, recalled how she asked him out. She felt this shame turn into disgust as she remembered this. Yet this turned to anger as she knew that all of those times they were doing this, he was doing nothing more than leading the lambs to the slaughter. Which made her become filled with rage.

She felt her body full with nothing but rage. She was being used the entire time. She was only a tool for rebels to rally behind. But now. Now, she was the one calling the shots. She was the one that they were being led by. Now the rebellion was real.

They soon arrived. She got out and quickly spotted that there were men walking to and fro. All of them had guns. She took out her gun and, before they could even see or react, shot at each and every one of them.

She then turned back.

“I’ll draw them here. You go and surround the back. Then all of you strike.”

“Right.”

She ran on and fired at more and more. This caused more and more to come at her. She quickly fired at them. She ran on and on. She pulled out her sword and slashed the nearest one in half. She felt bullets dig into her side. This caused more and more of the men to become distracted as they were hit by her bullets. Yet she could not allow herself to focus upon the shock. After all, she knew that this was do or die and if they did not die by her and the rebel's hands then it would be by their own. She knew that it would have been more honourable to be killed by an enemy than a comrade.

She fired at the ones that were firing at her. She then ran on. Slicing them once she was close enough.

She ran on and on but she was soon hit. She saw in front of her was a massive man with burnt orange shin. Bright yellow eyes and dark grey horns.

He hit his gun down. She dived out of the way but he was able to hit her in the cheek. Causing her to spin as she landed. She was about to get to her feet until she felt a thrust of a foot in her side. She felt him kick her again and again. She hit the trunk of a tree behind her. She was gripped by the throat and was pulled up. As he squeezed her he hit her again and again she could do nothing but grip his wrist. He threw her away.

She was about to pull herself off the ground. She picked up the sword. She saw him racing at her. Quickly she pointed the tip at him. She ran to him and, before he could do anything, slashed deeply into his gut. She pulled it out.

She ran on and on. She could feel her whole body hurt and itch as she could feel it healing. She could feel her sweat build as she panted. She knew that she had to go on as fast as she could. She ran on and on and saw more and more swarming towards her. She had to take out a handful of firecrys and light them before throwing them at them. Once they were distracted she fired, she quickly fired at multiple soldiers. Talking out more with one with one single bullet. She ran closer and closer firing as she did. She flicked her sword out a line as she broke through the flames. She scooped upore firecrys and threw them lit at another group and fired at them. She scooped and lit up more and fired at more and more.

During this time she ran on and on. Soon she made it through the forest. She took out more firecrys. She lit it and put it in the nearest tree. She did this again and again until she got a good fire going.

She ran on and on. She came to the fence. She saw the field ahead. Then she saw some people clearing as they ran behind the mansion. She ran to the fence and the moment that she placed her hand upon it, she felt an electrical current run throughout her body. She took her hand off the fence. She kicked it and it bounced back.

Right. How do I?

Push through the pain.

She then ran. She pulled herself up and she felt the electricity and her body flooded with pain. She tried to push on but she could not. She tried to force her body to climb but it would not listen to her. So she let go.

She looked around at the trees and saw the nearest one. She then ran up to it. She climbed up the tree. Then ran along one of the branches and jumped over the fence. She wanted to land but she tripped as she landed breaking something as she hit the ground. Pain inflamed her ankle. She could see that the left ankle had started to swell up and looked purple. She bit her lip as she felt torturous itching flared up the whole foot as the pain of the bones spotting back into place. Then the pain of the splinters of bones slot themselves into her muscle. She had to take out a small dagger. She had to push past even more torturous pain as she had to cut out the splinters of bone. Once she had healed, she climbed to her feet.

“Awww! That was painful.” She commented as she looked ahead.

She ran on and came to the door. She kicked the door in and dived to the wall. She looked back to see what was waiting for her. She then spotted a rain of bullets. She plucked some firecrys and lit them. She threw them at them. Once she knew that they were distracted, she ran in. She slashed from left to right, trying to deliver a death as painless as she could. She charged on doing this again and again.

She reached the end of the floor. She then spotted the other rebels running in. She ran on and came to the stairs. She ran on and the others fired ahead of her. She took out her own gun and fired ahead.

They came to the first floor. There were less here than she thought. She charged in and then fired at them. She moved in. They all ran and ran clearing floor after floor, until, finally, they came to Light Bringer.

“Long time no see!” He said looking at her.

“Light Bringer.” She spoke with a dangerous venom that even scared her.

He let out a whining sigh.

“Well! I guess that you’re here to kill me?”

She let out a bitter chuckle

“No. We are here to capture you. After all, once we have you, we will be able to get your father. I’m pretty certain he will come once he learns about your capture!” Loc explained.

He snickered and then burst out laughing. He collapsed to his knees and he covered his eyes like he was crying rather than laughing. His body convulsed as he continued to laugh. She could see the tears in his eyes. She would have felt sorry for him if he had not done all of what he had done.

“What?”

“Do you think that he cares for me? I have done all to earn his love. But we could only be described at best in our father son relationship. I was never a son to him. Still you would never be able to use me. Soon you will know just how evil that man is. It is times like this that I wish I had paid attention to what my brother had said. But no, I had to be father's golden boy and my brother might be dead for all I know.”

“What? You have no power here. I can take you right here and right now and there is nothing you can do about that!”

His eyebrow raised.

“Oh? Is that so? Well I will show you what my father told me to do if this situation were to arise. This will show you just how evil my father is!” He shouted as he bit.

He swallowed. She ran to him but he was dead the moment her arms touched him.

Impact On The World

Word soon got out that Emperor Wolf Raven’s son, Light Bringer killed himself once the Sorrowful Rebellion had captured him and the rebels were able to secure both Dawnfree and Concerdeat, now renamed Freelight. The news spread far and wide faster than wildfire. Soon everyone young and old knew and buzzed with the news, some just could not believe it, others did and the rest, in the minority, wouldn’t believe it.

Some gathered in the café.

“Do you think it's true?” Asked a red one with silver horns with a blue tint and yellow eyes.

Then one with brown skin and white horns and pink eyes covered his mouth.

“Shh! They’ll hear you!”

He pushed close to his friend and pulled the hand off.

“But is i’?”

“I don’t know! Now get back to your blue cufoo! Before they hear us!” He said, nodding back.

“Fine!” He said, pushing the blue cubes into his mouth and quickly ate. “But if it is true then how will Emperor Wolf Raven respond?”

He huffed and took the other man’s blue cube and ate it.

“Hey! What was that for?” He snapped, taking his green cube and eating it.

‘A reminder. Now keep quiet! Or I will eat the whole lot!”

He took his plate and hugged it.

“Alright, alright! I'll shut up! But I’m serious, if this is happening!”

He took a glance at one of the guards and saw his button.

“Then I want to be part of it!”

Meanwhile in an army base a Corporal looked down at a silver tablet on a table in front of him. There was sweat on his grey face, for the first time in a long time. He placed a hand on his green horns and closed his pink eyes before he looked at the soldiers and guards beneath his rank. They were all groomed to be who they were right now, nothing but obedient slaves to the Emperor’s will. However, something told him that this would be the last time that he could be able to do this. He could feel deep in his gut that the winds of change were coming and soon all of those that were under the Evil Emperor would be finally facing justice which terrified him the most.

"What will we do, sir?” Asked one with blue skin and silver horns and green eyes.

"Whatever the Emperor commands.” He responded, determined to make sure that if he was to go down, then he will take as many people down with him as he possibly could.

“But what if-”

He let out a huff as he started playing with his earlobe.

“We do whatever the Emperor commands!”

“But is he alright? The Emperor, I mean?”

“I don’t know. I don’t ask questions like that!” He snapped harsher than he intended.

“Then who will? He must be hurt by this. The pain must be killing him!”

He shot the man before taking the pill.

Meanwhile, Wolf Raven carefully looked at the footage. He had to put it on repeat as he could not believe it at first. He had to watch it three times until it had fully sunk in. She had done it! She had actually done it! She had massed an army, conquered two islands and had taken down his very own son within two to three months!

He felt a flicker of a smile twitch the corner of his mouth. Until he finally gave in and smiled freely. He felt a rush and bursted out laughing. Almost like it had exploded out of him. He could not help himself as he just sat there laughing and laughing. He could not even give himself any time to breathe as his laughter became wild and completely out of control.

He just hadn’t imagined that once the girl had escaped then it would lead to this! He was beyond his wildest imagination and he felt a rush flood his mind. He started to pant to gasp for air.

“Well done! Well done! Well done! Well done! Well done! Well done! Well done!” He shouted again and again at the top of his lungs, until he stopped for a moment to save his voice.

He clapped his hands together again and again in a wild and rapid applause.

What are you going to do next? Oh, my dear Loc, what will you do next? Oh, I can’t get enough of this rush! This feeling of being completely in the dark! You have made me so happy! Since when have I felt this good? Have I ever felt this good? Oh, I don’t know!

He had never felt so alive! For the first time he had met one. One that would prove to be a good challenge to him. One that he could not predict nor control. One that would make him truly, finally awake!

“Oh Loc! Loc, Loc, Loc! I should have kissed you when I had the chance! Finally! For the first time, I can play for real!”
