Summoning Fire
Loc and her team arrived at the first base that carried weapons and firecrys. It was in the dead of night. Which would have been the moment that the guards would most likely than not be all at home and fast asleep. Hardly anyone was there, which confirmed her deductions. So she concluded that none expected anything, which must have been why there were so little guards guarding the place. She could count that there were only ten guards. Which meant that this would be easier than the others.
However, Loc knew that that was on the outside, inside would be the real test. After all, it would do little to help her or her team to rush in only to find that all of the guards would be inside. No, that would prove fatal. Which was something that she did not want for her team. No, they were put in her care and so she was responsible for them. Including if they were to ever die because of one of her mistakes.
So, keeping this in mind, Loc took out her firecrys shards and lit them. She then quickly threw them, which caused a row of fire. The guards looked at them and their guns were raised to where they came from. They all looked left to right, keeping themselves vigilant. So that it would give To Break and Distant Battle, who were in the opposite position, the distraction they needed. So they fired at three each and then Loc took her gun, while their hands were full with them, and fired at three more. Then Distant Battle shot the last one.
"Stage one over."
"Yeah! We're almost home!"
"Not yet! We still have the ones inside to contend with."
"Come on! Lighten up a bit!"
"How about we all lighten up once the Evil Emperor is dead and gone?!"
"Will you lot be quiet! I need to work my magic!" To Open remarked as she made her way to the door.
"Sorry love." To Break spoke.
She rolled her eyes as she smirked shyly.
She worked away as she could not keep the smile from her lips. Guarded by both Life and Loc, she worked away. They kept a vigilant eye out just in case there were other guards hiding away in the bushes. Then she spotted three guards running towards them. She soon fired at them before they had any time to react. Then she was done and they were soon in.
They were greeted by an empty room with only weapons inside and not a guard inside!
They ran down the corridor and opened their bags and collected as much weapons as they could carry. Then as they were about to grab the nearest weapon, she soon spotted a few guards running to them. She took out a shard of firecrys and set it alight. Then threw it at one of them. He jumped back as she took out her gun. She fired at that one and Distant Battle shot another. To Break then fired at another. The last was taken out by Loc.
Meanwhile, To Open and Life loaded the bags. Soon their bags were filled. So they all made their way back to the minibus before returning to collect some more. Then they all drove off with Life in the driver's seat as always.
"That was easy!" Life sighed.
"Don't jinx it." Distant Battle snapped deadpan.
"Alright."
She did not drive for long when they came to the next base. This one was guarded by twenty guards this time. So they took out their guns and soon hid as they loaded the guns. All took out four guns each before they raced ahead. To Open soon hacked into the door and had it soon open. They soon ran in and spotted only five guads. They soon shot them. Then ran to the computers. To Open soon hacked into it and downloaded all the files that she could while they guarded her.
Then gunfire came from the right and Loc looked to it and soon fired at the one that it came from. Then she spotted another three coming their way and she fired at them. Then she felt a shot from behind and Distant Battle fired at the two guards that were about to take the next set of shots. She looked all around to see if there were any more coming.
To Open soon finished downloading all the files on the computer. She pulled out the memory stick then put it in a secure section of her bag. Then they took all the physical files that they all could get their hands on and stuffed them all into their bags and soon put them back on their backs. Then they left the room.
They soon spotted more guards coming at them and they all fired at all the guards that were in their way. But then the ones behind went to fire at them. Loc took out a firecrys shard and lit it and threw it at the guards. She was about to fire when both she and Distant Battle were hit in the shoulders. However they could not let the pain hold them back. So they pushed through the pain and fired at them, this took out three more. Then one hit the computer and To Open fired at that last one. Yet To Open was able to take out four more before her thigh was hit. Then To Break and Distant Battle were all able to take out the rest.
They soon were able to run down corridor after corridor and found another room where they took out a selection on memory sticks. Before they left the base and Life drove them all back. Where they removed the bullets and she took a shower and typed up her report.
It is so good to be back in the game!
Loc's Questions
Loc had some down time so she, knowing that she needed to stop pushing herself too far, decided to go to the library after a shower. After all, it was far too early in the morning for breakfast and she knew that she was not going to get back to sleep. She took one of the files that she helped acquire a while ago. She hoped that it would kill the spare time. She had noticed something strange about the file as she looked at the paper, which had become a yellow colour.
The Burning Rebel Cham Borvo who supposedly is from another world
has taken all our weapons,cars,
tanks, vans, ships and firecrys.
He seems to be gaining a great
following. Which is quite
disturbing for all of us.People
seem to have hope of freedom
because of him. Which is another
disturbing development.
I have caught and had to kill those
under me as they have started
singing about him well into the night.
Others were executed due to sabotaging
their own work in order to help him
and the others in his rebellion.
Wait, what? There was another person that came from another world. Who was it and what happened to him?
I wonder if Light Bringer knows something about this?
I wonder what world he came from? Was it the same as mine, or was it another world?
Never mind that, I wonder if there is something of the reality sphere in here? If I can't then Gracy and Sharimon…
Why don't you just ask him? He does seem to know more than he ought to!
So she put the file away and made a mental note of the file as she walked to Light Bringer's office. She then knocked on the door.
"Come in!"
She opened the door. He took one glance at her and looked annoyed.
"Loc!" He sighed. "If you're here for a mission-"
"I'm not here for a mission!" She blurted as he took a drink, which he squirted out the moment that he registered what she said.
"What? You're not? Could you say that again?"
"I'm not here for a mission."
"Thought you said that. So what are you here for? Are you really not wanting a mission?"
She smiled and chuckled slightly.
"No, I just want to ask you something, that's all. Mainly about what I have found out in one of the files from one of my missions."
He let out a sigh.
"Take a seat then. Do you want a drink?"
"Thank you."
She sat down as he poured a glass and gave it to her. She took a sip.
"So fire away!"
She nodded.
"Well this one, it seems that there was another rebel from another world, like me." She said as she gave him the file.
He read it.
"So it seems. In fact, haven't you brought this up before?"
"I don't know. Maybe…"
"Do you think you should check that out?"
"Maybe later."
"Fire away!"
"Tell me, do you know if there were any more? If so, how many?"
"I don't know…the Evil Emperor does have a vice-like grip upon education and objects relating to history. So maybe there were multiple! Apart from the one that passed through here, which did nothing."
Her eyes lit up.
"How many do you think that there were?"
He shrugged with his palms up.
"I don't know. I am sure that you will find out if you read all those files?"
She nodded as she took another sip.
"Right and I have another. Do you know if there is a clue to where the shard of the reality sphere is? After all, if the Evil Emperor has it he wouldn't keep it on him at all times, so logically he would put it in a safe location wouldn't he?"
He let out a sigh as she took another sip. She was surprised at how thirsty she really was.
"Again, I don't know. There might be… Just keep looking. After all, I wouldn't think that he would keep it on him at all times. So keep your eyes open. You might find something. But don't worry. I will have a mission for you soon, just not right now."
She nodded as she finished her glass.
"I can't wait." She said as she got up and walked to the door. "Just let me know once you do."
"Is that it?"
"Yes."
She then left as she walked away. Her smile dropped as she made her way back to the library, knowing that Light Bringer, for whatever reason, lied to her. It was that very reason that had bothered her the most. Which confirmed to her that he knew more that he let on. He seemed to be lying about a great deal to her.
She wondered why? Why was he lying to her? For what purpose did he have for her to do so? Did he not trust her? Was that it? Did he think that the moment that she found the shard of reality sphere she would go home without doing something about the Evil Emperor first? For some reason, she doubted that.
Knowing that this did not matter at the moment she sat down in the library and read the rest of the file.
The Mission
It was the following day that Light Bringer called her and her team to his office. Once they were all ready they all made their way to the office. Loc poured their drinks and Light Bringer set out the breakfast cubes. They sat on the chairs and ate then as they geared their minds for the mission at hand.
"Good morning."
Distant Battle yawned.
"Did you have to call us here this early?" Groaned To Open.
"Yes."
"Still, it's seven in the morning!" Moaned Distant Battle.
"I know, sometimes Light Bringer can be quite unforgiving!"
"Distant Battle, To Open, keep quiet."
They looked at each other then rolled their eyes.
"Do we have to?" They moaned playfully.
"Yeah! Sooner we get this over with, the sooner you two can get back to bed!"
"'Kay!"
"We have found another facility."
"And?"
"It contains maps and files and blueprints of other bases and storages that contain weapons."
"Right."
"This is where it is and I hope that you will leave when you're all ready."
"Well I am ready now. However, once my team are, then I will set off. No need to push any of us too much. Distant Battle and To Open you should take this time to properly stir."
"We all do!" The other two said.
He nodded as they made their way to the dining hall.
"By the way, what were you two doing to leave you tired like this? You're not ill are you?"
The two looked at each other and then shook their heads as To Open scratched the back of her head, slightly shy. To Break and Life smirked as they took their cubes, but Loc was still slightly confused. However she knew that now was not the time to pry further so they sat at the table and Distant Battle and To Open both sat beside each other. Soon they soon ate the cubes and were soon off. They made their way to the minibus and, again, Distant Battle and To Open sat by each other.
Life drove as per usual. Having nothing better to do she watched her driving, observing all the movements that she did with both her hands and feet. Yet she did not do so for long as they soon arrived. Loc and Distant Battle looked up. She could tell that this was not going to be easy as there were more guards than she had seen since she came back from her break.
They all stepped out and collected their weapons. They soon walked to a rock where they all knew that they would be well hidden. They all raised their guns and aimed for one and fired at the same time. This took out five. This allerted the others then they fired another shot and took out five more. Then the others started firing at them so they slammed their backs against the rock and she curled back, only for more to come their way. So she whipped back. She then looked back and hit one after another in her line of bullets.
Once the coast seemed clear they ran on and then she spotted a group running to her. Then she was met by gunfire. She and the rest of Team Sorrow ducked behind a rock. She then raised her body back up and fired at four. Then the rest did the same. Taking down twenty in total. They then spotted a bullet that almost hit. She looked around the back of the rock and spotted that the bullets were coming from the left. She knew that they were far away to get a good aim. So she had to aim as close as she could to the location. She fired and hit one. Then the rest did the same but one missed. He was about to fire at the rest of them and then looked back to see that there were five coming at them that were shockingly close to them. She quickly fired at them and they quickly fell. She then returned her attention back to the far one and she fired. This one hit.
She then ran and lowered her gun as she ran ahead hoping to use herself as bait to lure out any more. The rest of Team Sorrow waited but upon seeing that there were none coming, they raced on ahead and joined her at the door. Immediately To Open was hacking her way into the door. Then they were soon in.
They were soon met with a group of men. Distant Battle pulled To Open away and Life pulled back To Break and Loc before they were hit. Then Loc threw a lit shard of firecrys at them and then turned around and fired at them before they had the chance to respond. They soon fell and they were through the door.
She soon spotted that there were more coming ahead. She fired shot after shot at them. Until she noticed that she was out of bullets. She ran on regardless and took out the empty magazine and tried reloading the gun as her arm was hit. Her team fired at the other soldiers as she dived to the side and successfully reloaded. Then as she fired her team ran out of bullets. Then she gave them cover as they all reloaded their guns.
Soon they were able to clear the corridor and ran on. Distant Battle looked at To Open, who had a slight cut on her hip. Loc then noticed the two guards in front of a door. She soon shot at both of them and they soon fell. They then ran on and she felt a bullet hit her from behind. She looked back to see that there was a group coming up from behind and she raised her gun and fired at one and Distant Battle looked back and shot the rest and he did in front of To Open. They were soon at the door.
"Could you hack into here?"
"Yeah."
They soon guarded her as she worked away at the door. The door slid open and they were in. She saw the files and quickly opened a bag and was already filling it. They then opened the next bag and repeated this action again and again.
She then heard seven men coming. She then raised her gun and before they came anywhere near them she fired at them. She then turned back To Open, who was already at the computer, hacking into it. She then opened another bag and filled it, keeping her ear out for more and an eye on To Open. She then looked ahead and spotted eight more standing at the door. She raised her gun and took them out. She then returned to the fifth bag and then loaded it. She then looked up to see that they were running out of magazines. The next thing that she noticed was that they were running out of bags to fill and she knew that they needed more files as they had not finished taking them.
"Alright, all of you stay here, guard To Open and I will go back and empty these and get more ammo."
"Alone?" Snapped To Break.
"I'm immortal. I'll be alright."
They nodded.
"I know. Keep forgetting!"
She chuckled.
"Then good luck."
"Thank you, it will be needed." She said as she took the bags and ran out of the room.
She was immediately met by five guards. She raised her gun and quickly shot them. She ran back the way that she got in. She was soon back at the minibus and then emptied the bags. Then she collected as many magazines as she could and put them in one bag. She then ran back. She spotted the soldiers running at her. She then shot the furthest one and to the right then the one next to him. Then she was shot in the arm. She had to ignore the pain. She then shot the last two. Then as she ran on and she felt another shot again. Yet she was able to take down two more before she was hit again. She then was able to fire hit the last that she could see. She ran on and then was hit again.
This must be coming somewhere else.
So she stopped for a moment. She waited. She felt the next shot. Then she saw the one in the distance. She then fired. He fell.
She then ran on and ran in and back with her team. Yet as she gave them their magazines, she noticed that there were many files to collect. She looked at To Open.
"Can you download them all?"
"No. There just is not that much memory space."
She nodded.
"Then we need to secure the base and after all, this is far too much for the minibus."
They nodded. They all ran out. She then fired at the nearest guards, making sure that she took out multiple soldiers with one bullet. She ran on ahead, then quickly took out five more. She then kept running and fired at more and more, knowing that she could not allow herself to even think about showing mercy. She could still feel the acidic taste in her mouth as she shot at more and more of them.
She saw eighteen coming down the stairs. She fired at them as they came down to the bottom stairs. She then ran to the stairs and ran up them. Then the moment that she spotted some coming back down the stairs she fired at each one. She then came to the door. She kicked it down and saw five more guards and her arms moved before her mind and fired at each of them. Then she saw more coming at her and she fired at them too. She hard the sound of gunfire behind her. She looked down to see To Break fire at each of them.
Then soon the base was secured. They all drove back and To Open and Distant Battle slept in each other's arms. Once they returned Loc told Light Bringer everything and he and Wolf Raven returned to it with her. Wolf Raven looked at her completely impressed.
"Good work!"
"Thank you."
"Do you want another mission?"
She looked back at To Open and Distant Battle. She smiled and shook her head.
"Think I'll let another team do that. After all, I wouldn't want to be too reckless, would I?"
"No!" Light Bringer laughed.
They soon took everything and returned to the base and she took a shower and slept the mission off.
I'll take the day off tomorrow. Was her last thought of the day.
Strange Patterns
Loc woke up in her bed, for the first time since returning from the resting base, feeling well rested. She slipped off her pyjamas and, after a good and refreshing shower and dried herself, put on her usual clothes. She then walked to the library and as she read the file from the other day, as her mind gently stirred. Also she felt deep down, she was curious about what happened to Cham Borvo and she hoped that today she would find out.
The Burning Rebel had been missing for
a month and there's only been one
sighting of him. Which is, he was last
seen with our leader,Wolf Path. Their
mission was to finally take down the
Evil Emperor. Although they were
fighting well, they were no match for
him. The rest of the rebels fell soon
after.
She then put that aside as she tried to think about what had happened. She knew that she had to process what she had just read. Then, as to help her gather her thoughts, soon typed up her report on her mission and handed it in. With a slightly shy smile.
"I hope that you're not here for another mission." He moaned as he looked at her directly in her eyes.
"No, I came in here to hand this in and I finished the file on the Burning Rebel. If it is alright with you, I would like to take the day off at least, to look at the other files. Mainly to see if there are other teams in them and give mine a break. Now I would like to get my breakfast."
"Sure and good for your work yesterday. You sure blew it out of the water!"
She nodded as she smiled, as she chuckled shyly.
"I only did what I thought would be best. I'm certain that others would have done the same."
He chuckled.
"I'm not sure about that! Enjoy your breakfast, you have more than earned it."
She started to feel even more bashful.
"Thank you sir."
She then left and got her breakfast. She then walked back to the library. She then took another file. She sat and opened the file then started to read.
The Raining Rebel,Glaw Govad and, the one
who claims to be from the L Universe, has
taken down the last of the Evil Emperor's
army. Now, as unbelievable as it is for me
to record, he has found out where he is and
has left with our leader, Light Son Of The
Dragon to take him down once and for all!
She turned the page. As she just could not stop.
Mission failure,I should have known it was
foolish to have hope! The Raining Rebel is
dead. His body is out on display The
rebellion has fallen. We would all be dead
upon the time you read this, if you are even
reading this. Now that would be a foolish
hope. It was foolish to go against him. I
know that now. On how we were all fools.
Utter fools.
She put it down as she took another file out. She sat down and wrote down some notes before she opened it on the last page. Somehow, she already suspected that she did not have to read anything before.
The Fire Rebel, Aiden Mortimer has successfully
located the Evil Emperor in the Northlands near
the place where they take prisoners to become
infertile. He and has left with the leader Light
Death and his second in command.
It has been three days and no word until this
morning. The Fire Rebel's body was shown on
full display on the news this morning. It is
only a matter of time until we follow. Some of
us will be hunted down and killed and others
will most likely than not be sent to either that
island or the one that is rumoured to be worse.
She then put the file away and got another. She sat down again and began to read.
The Watery Rebel Arlen Tavor has gone with the leader of our modist
rebellion, Light Dragon Chief and his second in command,Wolf .
The time has come to finally be rid of the Evil Emperor once and for all!
Soon freedom and victory will be ours and the after life will take all
that will stand in our way! We have suffered for far too long under his
boot, we have had to endure the tyranny of all that he had determined
to be part of the higher families and their perverted torment.
It is over, on the First Day Of The Third Moon the Watery Rebel
has fallen, we will soon follow!
She then put it down and read all the others all ended in the same strange way. She read one after the other until she was satisfied. She noticed the patterns earlier on but now, after reading them all of them confirmed her observations. Which caused a chill to run down her spine. After all, if that was what he did to those that he could kill then what would he do with someone that he couldn't? Yet there was one thing that was clear to look out for.
One, the rebels from another world each arrive and end up on the verge of finally ending the Evil Emperor. Two, they are always with the leaders and the second in command. Three, they all die in battle with the Evil Emperor. And four, the rebellion gets crushed soon after.
Now the question is why? What happened? Is it that the Evil Emperor is that strong? Or is it that he has mastered powers that were beyond the people here? If so, then does he use that to gain the information that he needs to wipe the rebellions that rise?
If that is the case then what happened to the leaders or the second in commands?
She then walked to the office. She knocked on the door. She walked in to see both Light Bringer and Wolf Raven.
"Loc."
"I'm not here to ask for another mission. I came here to tell you all that I found out."
"Oh?"
She gave them the files.
"Here. I have been reading these this morning."
"Read the last pages."
She waited until they had read them.
"I see what you mean."
"I think that the Evil Emperor was able to use powers to get all the information that he needed to crush the rebellions that came against him. So be careful."
"Is that all you came for?"
"Pretty much."
"Loc."
"Yes?"
"Good work, and thank you for reporting this to us."
She nodded.
"I'm only doing what anyone else would do." She said as she left.
The Power Factory
Loc had opened and read every file and book for a whole week. Yet she still could find nothing on the Evil Emperor's appearance. Not even anything about how or where he was born. No mention of who his parents were or what happened to him. Not even any friends. It was as if he had appeared out of nowhere and became the Evil Emperor.
The only thing that she could find out about was his great feats like how he was able to level an entire army within one hour. Then another one was how he was able to find a way to lengthen his lifespan so he was able to reign for hundreds and hundreds of years. Yet there was enough to know how he came to power, which was that he was able to put corrupt people in high places of power and made them even more corrupt.
In fact, he was able to charm many to follow him. So once he was able to turn the corrupt into tyrants he was able to successfully set up an army to take them all down. This was shortly followed up by him rising as the hero to take them all down when people were desperate for one. Then the people gave him all the power over them in gratitude.
He did not show his evil side until four years into his long reign. This was when he started killing people to increase his power which was how he was able to elongate his life. Yet there was one rebel that was a woman that he did not kill for twenty years. It was rumoured that she was forced to endure torments and pain. Which led to another rumour that he had forced her to bear him a child.
Which was what had disturbed Loc the most. In fact upon finding out, it gave her nightmares. Nightmares of what he would do to her if he ever had her in his claws. What pain would he inflict upon her. What he would force her to endure and how long it would take until she gave up entirely. Until one early waking up when she started to think about things.
I wonder if Grasharlo was able to do all of that in my world? Did she force herself upon others? What was the worst thing that she ever did? Was it even close to what the Evil Emperor did? Did she use others to elongate her life?
Is that even possible? After all, this is a different world and, try as I might, I can't even use magic here. Maybe the power he uses is similar to magic but still different?
Maybe…maybe that was how she was able to get as much power as she did. She could neither be trusted to stay alive or die after all!
She then heard a knock on the door.
"Come in!"
Then Wolf Raven came into her room.
"Light Bringer has requested you."
She nodded.
"Thank you."
She then put down the book that she was reading. She soon found Distant Battle and To Open hand in hand in the games room with Life and To Break facing each other. Yet it dawned upon her what was actually happening. Yet she smiled and was happy for them almost like an older sibling seeing her younger siblings growing up. She could not help but feel her chest swelling upin pride.
"See you two getting along well!" She commented.
They looked at each other like she had been caught with their pants down. She just let out a chuckle.
"It's alright, you ought to, after all we all need to have at least one dream for after Evil Emperor has been taken down. Come on, we have a mission to do. So, Team Sorrowful, let's get this over and done with. After all, the sooner that we get this villain down and out, the sooner we all can think about the future. Also, I hope that you all the best in your futures whatever they may hold and that you have lots of children and that they know just what you all did so they can have a long and free life."
"Yes to that!" They all sang.
When she looked away they let out a sigh as they looked at each other bashfully. Then, shyly, walked to Light Bringer's office.
"Here. This is one of the top power factories."
"Right and why is that?"
"It had a good amount of files and, on top of that, it has the largest source of firecrys in the world. Eliminate it and you will take out a great deal of power from the Empire and the Evil Emperor."
"Yeah, I still haven't found out what he looks like though."
"That's alright but you must focus upon this mission first. You will still have time to find out what he looks like later."
She nodded.
"Alright."
They soon worked on their plan and, after a long and lengthy debate, they all left that afternoon. The time Life drove them to the spot seemed to pass by like a flash. They arrived an hour and a half later.
"Ready?"
"Ready."
"Then let's go!"
They left the minibus behind the factory. She then looked at To Open and she soon was hacking into the door.
"Why don't you teach me how to do that one day?" She asked jokingly.
"Will do."
"That wasn't an order."
"I know!"
The door soon opened. They were in. They ran to the filing room. They arrived as before they knew it. Yet they had not seen one guard. Loc found it odd that they had not encountered one guard. So they were able to gather as much as they could. Then they opened the doors and met two rows of guards in front of them.
They soon raised their guns and fired attrm before they could do anything, but as they did the bullets hit the one in front and the one behind them. This gave her an idea. So she then fired at another one and made sure that it would hit the one behind. The others picked up on this and started to do the same. Some were able to take out two at a time. Yet the guards raised their guns and aimed at the computer but Distant Battle was able to put an end to that.
"Distant Battle, stay here with To Open and guard her as she hacks into the computer."
"Right." He said with a smile.
They soon ran out and saw two more coming at them. To Break was soon able to take them out. They soon found their way back to her minibus and put the files in the back. Then they were soon back in. Then they were greeted by a group of guards. She was able to get one of the firecrys and lit it and threw it at them. Then as they were distracted the others fired at them, taking out multiple at a time.
They then came to a flight of stairs. They ran up to the top. They then knew that they would have to get to the centre of the building where To Break would be able to plant the bombs. So they opened the door and were greeted by a group of guards. She saw that there were five in front of them with five rows behind them. They fired at the front row, Loc and To Break were able to take out two rows and Life took out one.
They then ran on. They then spotted that there were several guarda coming their way. They raised their guns and fired at them. Loc threw the lit firecrys at one of them. She fired at them. They fell upon the one behind them and they were able to fire at trm and they fell like dominos.
They then ran and ran. She then saw the stairs ahead. She spotted a group of guards ahead. This was a group of fifteen in all. Five in front and they were in lines. They soon took them out with only five bullets. Then they came to a door that To Open would have been able to open. Yet as soon as they were about to raise their guns to open it, To Open rushed on ahead with Distant Battle shortly behind her. She looked at the door and was soon into it. She soon had it open.
They were soon greeted by twenty in a row in rows of four. They were able to take out three with one bullet however the one behind ducked and then they were able to hit their heads. Then they saw more coming and she threw a group of lit firecrys and threw them at them. She ran and jumped. She spun and flicked her feet out and hit them to the side giving her team the opportunity to fire at them and take out multiple at a time.
Then they were able to run on. Then they were greeted by a group of guards. She hit one with the lit firecrys in the head. Then she kicked one into the other. Then she looked ahead of her and fired at the two ahead with just one bullet. The others took out the ones that had their heads on fire with one bullet.
They ran on and then To Open was soon at the door hacking into it. That was when the alarm went off.
"We need to get a move on!"
"I'm working as fast as I can!"
She nodded as they circled her as a group of guards ran to where they were. They then fired at two. They were dead before they could get anywhere near them. She soon had the door open and they were soon in. They ran to the next level. They soon were up. They soon noticed that there was another flight ahead.
That was when they heard voices coming from below. They came to the next door and they soon guarded To Open as she hacked into the door. She soon spotted the guards running up. She lit a shard of firecrys and threw it as they came to them. They fired at them as the door opened. They soon ran up the stairs and reached the door at the top. To Open soon hacked into the door and had it opened.
They soon ran on a metal walkway. She looked at the left and saw that there were guards below. She quickly fired at each and everyone before they could spot them. She then spotted the reactor, which was made of oil and firecrys in the centre. To Break quickly set the bomb.
"You're really good at this!"
He smirked as he glanced at Life.
"Maybe I will show you sometime!"
They then ran back to the stairs. They were blocked by a group of guards. They all fired at the guards. They then ran on and spotted guards running at them. She fired at them as they ran on. She saw others coming up. She went to fire at them but To Open beat her to this. So they were able to run on. They then reached the second floor. They were greeted by more guards. Sr fired at them as they reached the next set of stairs. They looked down to see more coming up and she shot at one with the bullet pushed through the rest. Then they ran down. At the bottom she saw a group of guards and they opened fire to hit her group but she painfully protected her team with her body. This gave them the opportunity to fire at the guards. This meant that they all could reach the first level. They then ran on and she spotted more coming. They made sure that they were the first to fire at them. She lit the firecrys and threw it at them then fired at it. It created a small explosion that took four. She then was able to take out four more and ran down the stairs and they ran out of the door and finally reached the minibus.
The Return
They had just about to set off when they noticed that there were cars coming at them. Loc rolled down the window and fired at the driver. She hit the window. Life drove to the left and moved out of the way of one and then pressed the geers. Loc looked back and she noticed that the van was still hot on their tail. She turned back to see another car had joined the other. She was about to aim at the driver when the passenger rolled down his window and fired his gun at her. Then Distant Battle rolled his window down and fired at him first. Then To Break rolled his window down and fired at the hood.
BANG!
She took inspiration from this and she fired at the hood of the one next to it. As they drove on, another three drove on ahead and then slammed into the minibus. Loc fired at the centre one and the power of the explosion hit the other two and they were soon rolling off the road. Then four more passed the flames. She then fired at the centre two quickly. Soon the cars beside them were rolling.
Then they saw the explosion in the distance. The fire spread out soon the dust and rubble flung out and away from the building. Then the fire started spreading throughout the trees. They soon had to drive fast to out pace the pace of the spreading of the flames. Yet they continued and had to drive faster to get out of reach of the flames and the upcoming dust cloud.
Then cars rose from the dust. She fired at the one in front, taking full advantage of the driver's confusion. She then fired at either end. Yet she missed and hit the passengers instead. She then tried to do it again as Life turned a corner and hit the driver instead.
That was when she was hit by another bullet. She followed where it came from and fired at the one that was after them. She looked for more, but To Break and Distant Battle spotted that there were more coming at them. With their guns out in their hands. They fired at them.
As she fired at a soldier Lfe put a great distance between them yet one more drove on. She then fired at it but it dodged out of the way. To Break and Distant Battle fired again but it dodged again. This meant that they would have to think of a different way. She took out a firecrys, lit it and threw it at the car. She then fired at the firecrys and, as it exploded, the driver dodged to the left leaving Distant Battle to fire at it before he knew what had hit them.
"Good work!"
"Blown it out of the water, as usual!"
"Thank you."
Soon they were out of reach and soon back at the base.
Debriefing
They parked and soon climbed out of the minibus. Loc noticed just how hungry she was and the rest of her team noticed how hungry they were too. In fact she knew, in that moment, she could have eaten four or five cubes. Even though, she suspected, that would not be good for her. Yet they all knew that they would have to get other things done before they could even take one bite. So she had to push past her hunger and did all to ignore that loud rumble, after all, the sooner she got that done the sooner she could answer the call of her stomach.
So they unpacked all that they had gathered and then Loc walked to her room after they all had their medical needs seen to. Once she was discharged, she quickly raced to her room and sat at her computer and typed away. She still had to look at the keyboard as she still was not used to it. Yet she knew that as long as she was in this strange world it was important that she did as she typed up her report. She tried to type as fast as she could.
Yet as she typed away her hunger increased and by the time she was done, the hunger became almost impossible to ignore. So she ran to Light Bringer's office and knocked on the door. This time her hunger had become uncomfortable.
"Come in!"
She soon handed it over to Light Bringer. She felt her hunger was almost getting the better of her. He looked at it and at her with an unreadable expression on his face. He looked to the side for a moment before returning to her.
"Why did you not try to lead them away from here while you were being chased?" He asked.
Her eyes widened. She looked down and then aside.
That's a good question! Why did I not get Life to do that? Oh I am such an idiot! If they had not been stopped I would have led them right here!
"I'm sorry. I didn't think about doing that."
He let out a sigh.
"Well, you were able to take them out so I can not fully blame you for that. Just think about that next time, will you?"
She nodded.
"I will try. Thank you."
"You may go now." He said as he put the report away.
She nodded and left. She then was about to make her way to the library when she spotted Distant Battle with To Open.
He smiled and said something to her that made her laugh. She smiled and was happy for them. It was good for them to have someone and hope and aim for the future. She then noticed To Break and Life were also talking. They too seemed to become close. She felt happy for them too. She hoped that they all would have a happy end at the end of all of this. She could not help but like the fact that her team was finding love after all they had been through.
Yet she suddenly realised that she did not have anyone like that in her life. She had never even had anyone like that in her life. Sure she had talked to boys and men in her life but that was always as a friend. Nothing more. Yet even still she had no e that she could hall being close to. Not like that. Then she realised that she had been so dedicated to stopping Gracy and Sharimon that she had not even allowed herself that. She knew that it was never going to last with her background.
Yet now she was in a different world. She knew that she could spend a long time here. She did not have to worry about them getting here as the spell that they used could only be cast once in a lifetime. So why not find one of those types of relationships here? Why should she confine herself to isolation? Why not find someone to talk to? Why not try to find someone to get close to and fall in love with? Maybe that will distract her from all that she has been through and all those thoughts of what was going on in her world?
She then spotted Wolf Raven. She was about to get up and talk to him until she realised that she did not know what to say! She huffed.
Comeon. Just ask him something!
Ask him what?
I don't know! Just ask him something, anything!
"Oh, Loc! Is there anything I can help you with?"
"Urm, no."
No, say something or you're going to look awkward and you will be wasting your time!
So say anything?
'Say anything'.
Alright, here goes!
"Urm..How are you?" She asked, feeling slightly nervous.
Why did you say that that way?
I don't know!
"Fine you?"
Oh look, he thinks that you're a weirdo! Congratulations you've made a fool of yourself!
"Alright. Urm…Do- do you have any plans after all of this is over?" She asked, her heart beating as her mind was screaming.
Why? Why am I so bad at this?
His eyes tensed for a moment. Then he relaxed his eyes.
"Not really. Maybe find a way to rebuild the world, I guess. You?"
Oh good. He's bad too! At least I'm not the only one.
"I don't really know either. Find the shard of the Reality Sphere, I guess."
He then pulled out his pendent and rubbed it. Loc could not see what it was.
"Yeah. I think you should keep looking. I'm sure you will find it sooner or later. Now, I have to talk to Light Bringer. If you don't mind."
"No. Not at all! Say, after could we talk some more?"
He smiled, slightly mischievously.
"We will see."
The Review Of Two
Wolf Raven walked into Light Bringer's office.
"Good afternoon."
"I would like to read Loc's report."
He smiled as he gave it to him. He sat there, reading and rereading the report with his eyes filled with a giddy glee. He licked his lips as he put it down and looked up at him. He took a gulp of his water as he let out a sigh. He let a smile spread across her lips as he played with his pendant. He took a moment to go over all that she had typed. He thought about all of the missions that she had been on. He then thought about what she had done and how well she had done. He thought of their missions together and how she had shown such bravery and loyalty despite knowing nothing of this world.
"She has done well over the past couple of months." He sang.
"Yes. You are right. She is promising."
He let out a chuckle which led to a loud laugh.
"'She is promising'? Seriously son? She has progressed faster than the others and she has powers of her own too. In fact, all seem to be buzzing with all that she has done. Even, I, am buzzing over her! I would just love to find out the full extent of her abilities. Honestly, what can she do? What can she really do?"
He looked aside as he let out a long breath.
"Her team has done well under her, despite the fact that she comes from such a primitive world."
"I know. Also, she did reach out to talk to me."
Light Bringer raised his eyebrow.
"In what way?"
He smiled.
"I guess she wants to get to know me."
"Oh?"
He returned the smile. He thought about her team and how they had paired up and fallen for each other
"Maybe she saw that all of her team have fallen in love with each other. I guess she wanted a bit of what they have."
He let out a chuckle as his shoulders moved forward as he clenched his fists inwards.
"She's too adorable. If only she knew!"
"And are you going to entertain her?"
He looked away as if he was looking at a cute animal.
"Maybe a little, before her next mission. After all, with all that she has done, I think that it is time she met the Evil Emperor."
Light Bringer chuckled.
"What! This soon?"
